But I'll answer your challenge with one of my own: Any conservative who wants to keep this chick alive should have to pay her medical bills and provide round-the-clock care for her. Deal? I agree, but only if liberals start paying for things they support and conservatives oppose.

There should be nothing wrong with this. After all, if somebody consents to killing somebody else, as long as they're close, it will be as if that person who is being killed consented. That's how euthanasia, aka assisted suicide, works in the Netherlands, and the liberals love it!
unless they want to be... actually, I would much perfer assisted suicide, but republicans apparently would perfer to people starve to death. I'm wondering... If she's not even conscious enough to be suffering, what's the hurry with killing her? I understand why people are desperate to keep her alive, bu
I don't honestly know. Maybe the repulbicans are using this for political purposes. Courts have ruled that she did in fact want to die, and thats that. By the way, where did she actually say she wanted to die. Courts aren't infallible, nor can judges read minds. I won't deny that Republicans ar
What makes it ok is a) she wants it and b)shes been virtually dead for the past 14 years and c) her husband says she wants it and approves of it and he is her gaurdian oh and d) 19 judges have said its ok, and now congress is breaching the seperation of powers. a) If she stated she wanted to be starved
Even further, this woman is not retarded. She is not capable of anything. She can not feel anything. She is no longer conscious. She is not any longer a thinking person. She is a body and a brain with the capability of keeping the heart beating, the lungs breathing, and pretty much nothing else. When yo
We should err on the side of caution. I disagree. As a compassionate liberal who supports the euthanasia happening in the Netherlands, I see human life as being a commodity, and by allowing this woman to starve to death, there will be an extra hospital bed available for somebody else.
Once again, Man creates God in his own image ... What I wonder is if you and Phoenixboi think that your idea of God is some divine objective idea, and not just based on what you want God to be (btw, I'd rather God not be who I think He is, because there are many things I do and want to continue to do th
As I said, if you don't believe it, it's only becuase you've not yet felt the effects of it. I like that logic. With such logic, you can never be wrong, because anybody who disagrees is automatically wrong in your eyes. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Bod
The amazing thing is, people trust sooo much in a book that was mis-translated over, and over. What's the correct translation then? And if it's been so mistranslated that it's unreliable, then why even bother taking anything to heart from it? Maybe it's me, but if a history book had a plethora of errors
He never said we will be gods ....he said Ye are gods! John chapter 10 go read. Lets see if you understand why he said it.. and what he was doing when he said it. He was trying to point out to the Jews how this was first said in Psalms, and that it is their scripture that he was pointing out to them and they wanted to st
D..you know you have an ability to bring sense.. As soon as people question the bible or christian beliefs then its hell to pay..they get into a flutter and start not making sense and go on about how we are being disrespectful. In this cases sensible meaning agreeing with your lifestyle and your beliefs, right? Unless you can show where I or some
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. Where in this passage does he mention that we'll be gods? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb
Oh here we go again...'the NT cancels out Leviticus' argument. If you don't agree, then fine. Just respect our beliefs as we've respected yours. Christians too deserve the right to have their beliefs respected. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-T
The trouble is that people take what is written in the bible too literally.. even at face value. What they need to do is to understand the esoteric and spiritual significance by which the words were said. So, your figurative interpretation is the one that's right, and everybody else's is wrong, because
But you see you guys want to have your cake and eat it as well.. you say that the old testament isnt relavent anymore because Jesus came to fullfill the old law.. but then as many Christians come along and all they can quote is Leviticus.. Well there are other laws and they arent being followed. Does it mean that the ten commandm
But arent you trying to force me to condone what your doing and accept it as right? You say in one post that that Jesus is the only way and if you dont follow Jesus then your going to Hell... well im sorry but that doesnt wash. What about the pygmie in Africa who has never heard about Jesus will he go to hell as well? Even though
MythicalMino, darling - the whole point is that a lot of us see the bible as a tonne of phooey. We are not going to take it into our hearts. We are also not going to deny your right to believe in it. This is a comedic work, not an argument against the bible. Chill out for a couple of seconds and maybe you'll see the humour. <
I just dont believe in the interpretations that humans have placed and their misquoting and selective quoting. And yet, only you and those who accept your lifestyle are not guilty of misquoting and selective quoting? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Q
Tsk. Tsk. In this day and age, virginity is a wicked word that should never be spoken! I wonder what the hell would compel somebody to beg somebody they know for sex though, even over the Internet, unless that's all they ever wanted and felt a friendship was a waste of time.
Duck. Yes, the UN sure does love to duck whenever a real problem confronts them!
Pardon me for playing Devil's advocate, but I'm in the mood to: This is censorship! The kids have a right to see Saw and if any of them objected they could have simply went into another room. It's not like a birthday party, which is highly offensive to those who don't believe in birthday parties who should not be forced to go into another room! Parents just don't know how to raise children. That is why I long for the day where teachers become the true guardians of America's children, whi
Well, there were many laws that the Lord required the Jews to follow in the Old Testament, but Jesus fulfilled those laws, essentially making it so that we need no longer follow them. However, some things were confirmed as still being sin in the New Testament. It's the same reason we don't have to perform sacrifices anymore.
I agree with pretty much everything Rightwinger said. However, if you don't even believe in the Bible, then why even argue that homosexuality is or isn't a sin? Why feel the need to justify yourself with people whose beliefs you don't even share? That'd be like me trying to justify my love for my iBook to some Monks of some Eastern religion who say that if I do not shed my earthly possessions, I will be reincarnated into a pig.
*Note: Why doesn't poetry EVER get comments?!?!? I think it's because poetry is so personal, that it's hard to figure out a good response. Just know that people read it!
