Go into "options" and disable auto-turn. I've no idea why anyone would prefer that option turned, I turn it off in every single turn-based game I play. It should be off by default. Problem solved. ;)

YES! For me this is the major problem of the game right now. But I don't want champions to be nerfed, shorter training times, some HP adjustments and slightly less powerful loot sounds like a much better plan.

Oh, and that was before he changed it. Which he just did. Oh, and GfireflyE, good points. I do believe the governor path needs alot of love, but I don't think roads are the way to do it...

Do you guys have the Black text on white background forum skin? Because I use the white text on black background, and have no problem at all reading the green text. Bold black text would be kind of impossible though... ;)

Granted it might seem a bit illogical when you look at it like that. On the other hand one of the first things I build in every Civ game is a settler too. Do Pioneers have population cost? As I see it that would be a good way to solve it, and a reason to NOT build pioneers straight away. That would also mean that the Outpost spam would stop. What if a pioneer cost 'round 50 pop? I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before, but I'm not sure what conclusions were reached

As far as I know the AI isn't cheating at all unless you play higher difficulties. Why don't you try playing on easy if you find the computer to aggressive? And I don't think it's weird at all to build pioneers straight away, it's a viable strategy. Granted the AI maybe spams them a bit much, but that's because it's often a good idea to do so. It's not because the computer is "cheating". I do however think that some mechanic to limit the pioneer spam might be i

I voted Good. I agree with erlier posters, in regards to content it's a pretty solid build, although I also would like things like postitioning to matter in tactical combat. It doesn't need to be overly complicated, a simple flanking and perhaps backstab bonus would go a long way to making it a bit more interesting. I probably would vote exellent if all the small bugs were taken care of. I've come across nothing gamebreaking, but several small annoyances. Ju

Things not addressed in Beta 4! Like Ships (river and sea)? [/quote] Probably not, I think those are cut until further notice. Waterwalk is alot more likely, the AI can handle that better. What is an AAR?

When comparing faction abilities, you have to take into account all the abilities of a faction. For example Resoln have shard-converting, bound elementals AND spiders. They can't have three abilities that are as good as Tarths single ability, then they would be *too* OP. I like the point of this thread, but I would choose to rank the factions in regards to all their abilities, instead of ranking the ablities alone. On the other hand, I suppose there's also a point in pointing out whic

It took ALOT of restarts before I lerned to handle the ruthless barbarians in the early game. And when I finally got that sorted out all these wonderful random events tied to

The concept of cities leveling up is a fantastic one, but the current buildings you can make are so bland and uninteresting. So much more can be done with this mechanic. Elemental is a world of MAGIC; make the city level up buildings amazing and fun and game changing. Let me specialize my cities more in ways that matter...While I agree

"Sexual impropriety"? Someone was joking around, I haven't read or heard anything about that. The dynasty mechanic was a nice thought but the way it worked in WOM didn't feel like something they wanted in FE. Hopefully Dynasties will make a come back in an expansion, but as far as I know it won't make it into the FE release. But not because of some absurd notion of propriety. This is a fantasy game, not some censored bed-time story for the U.S right wings. I hope. </p

Yeah, that sentence is totally whack. It should be someting like: "But when the prisoners finally stopped, the creatures now hungry for the blood and flesh of men came out of the cavern. They attacked the commander's army and dragged them back into the depths of the cavern."

There IS a variety of skin tones when you "construct" a custom race. You just can't change it in the unit designer in game. You also cannot change you sovereigns skincolour once the game has started. That could be a new building "body surgery an facial reconstruction", necessary for the perk "doppelganger", which would give your built units the possibility of replacing the other nations sovereigns, giving you an insta-win. Great!

With all due respect, but some consistency speakes a huge lot about professionalism, doesn't it? I agree fully with the idea, though. I really like the way you can design your cities anyway you like, and expand towards important resources or choke points. However, I think the reasons given for changing to a 1 tile system with secondary tiles for certain improvements have merit. Personally I feel I have to try this new system before I can have an opinion. Bring on the next Beta with the new system implemented. THEN we can talk.

Yeah, and the more the better. Partly because it's fun, and partly because it would probably give the AI an advantage in the long run, it will choose the smartest path while we'll go ooohhhh....cool, I want that!
