Eeeep, that was fast. Umm... you'll get it when GC has multiplayer hahahahaha Actually, when I make a reference to a show like Futurama, it usually means I like the idea, because I can't think of anything constructive to add to it/ debate it

And you do not need to be so insulting. I apologize Moosetek (c'mon, show me your shocked faces!) When I say something like that, it's because what you said is what I hear from about 1000 or so people a year, and my paraphrase is basically the truth of the situation. That was meant as a more *general* comment than an attack on you. <

via flash Yeah, that kind of says it all... Take a wild stab at what my opinion is here. And give kryo a break evil I caught a spelling mistake earlier and didn't say anything. Look at the date, that says enough. He's probably crunched for time,

I use BitDefender and IE, and I have not have problems with spyware since BitDefender went on. Let's rephrase that: I use BitDefender because I don't like using award winning software like Ad-Aware that is totally free. I use IE because it's there and I don't feel like installing stuff, or looking at that clowny looking fox. I have not <

Tabs are not unique to FF anymore, IE7 has them as well. Along with all the other great "features" of IE7 *rolls eyes*. Notice that tabs have been around in many other browsers but not IE until now. Microsoft is playing catchup in the feature game of internet browsing, because their browser application is built mostly for intranet (different than

If you're talking about upgrading all ships in a class at the same time, this can easily get into the millions of bc's. One thing that I do to make this easier is to have two identical versions of the ship I want to upgrade then alternate which one I'm building and which one I'm upgrading each turn. One turn I'll build hull_a while I'm upgrading hull_b then next turn I swa

Sounds like Ender's Game. Yup, and it also may very well have a 12 year old at the helm. Aaaannnddd, the ship's technology will be outdated by the time it reaches it's destination (barring upgrades). Yup, Ender's game.

hate when a civ surrenders to you and all of their ships and bases are gone!! wtf man, wtf.... They've apparently fixed that in DA, there is a ship dispersement system. I don't know about stealing ships, but I do think it would be cool to be able to analyze the wreckage of ships you've destroyed and either get a technology you don't have

I'm not sure what to think about StarDock doing a Wii game. And personally, since the toolkit is available to the general public, would like to see them do the Xbox360 if they were to do a console. (Yes, this is despite my deep seeded hatred for Microsoft, but i do give them a thumbs up for making their toolkits available to everyone, even if they are about a grand total). I really don't *see* how the motion sensor could be taken advantage of in a strategy game, and would like the complex algori

Yeah evil, a lot of intranet sites will not work with anything besides I.E. So for most of your work stuff, you need to stick with it. I had this same problem when I worked for a lawfirm. And believe me, I tried every browser I could think of to use something besides internet exploder, but no dice. I was referring for http browsing

d00d, you have your information ALL backwards: WWW Firefox's only possible relation with AOL Firefox is an open source browser, they don't exactly have relationships with anyone. Mozilla, the owning company, has *nothing* to do with any ISP. It just so happens that their browser model was so good, other companies have based theirs off of it. And just trust me. Do yourself a 10 mi

This penalty frustrates the bejesus out of me too. Especially when I have a mind control center, and hit the economic event that doubles my income. I even lower my tax rate until I am at 100% morale, but usually still generate 5-10 k or so profit. What I would *like* to see, is not a penalty, but a spending overdrive when you hit this limit. Like, I'm always maxed out at 100% capacity, but if I adjust my sliders I can still get way more or less out of my production/research buildings. I

1) That's not a long post 2) You're clearly basing the story value on a sandbox game... 'nough said 3) If you want maps that have planets more "spaced out", maybe you should try playing around with the flexible galaxy settings and stop having everything at "Abundant" 4)Your comments on speed and range are asinine. Try proposing a "better" or alternative solution instead of ranting like an idiot 5) Your comments on technology have been addressed in other threads, but in a construc

Write down the amount of pop on the planet. Press End turn. Check again the amount of pop on the same planet. Subtract, divide, compare to existing formulas etc. as necessary. Sorry, but I play this game without a calculator and pocket protector. My method is a simple eye test. If in 10 turns I don't physicially see my populatio
