Genraly I like to have bigger ships with more deffense, but the size and quality of ships you build depends on your situation. Perhaps you could equip your tiny fighters with just enough power to take less than a week to produce (since they are going to die anyways, do you really need to spend 4 weeks on them?), then set one pl

In 1.31 ships attack at the same time, so the disadvantage of having a ship with no deffense and huge attack getting destroyed before it can return fire is gone. Score one for the all attack. Personally though I prefer to have deffense. I tend to keep the attack higher than the deffense, but since I am usally far more advanced than the enemy that is all I need. I agree Meglobob. I have noticed that if they get big enough, Altarians get pretty smart in war. Thinking that were peace loving, I have ignored them at times and regreted it. They also seem to hate me. Could be because I am ALWAYS evil. I think that evil races should be better at war. If it could even be done(unlikely) you could have
I have seen many suggestions for new things to have added to Dark Avatar. But how about your top want. The thing you want to see the most or think needs to be added the most. Mine is a cloaking device. A major hole in the game.
While that is something missing, I personally would want the programers to work on other things. I don't lay awake at night worried about if there is going to be an offline scoreboard.
While that is an interesting idea, I think that it is just not something that fits well into the gal civ univerise. Prehaps you could have ships that get enough experience start to spread benefits to ships in the area, like a genral.
Without a doubt the biggest single tech. missing from Gal. Civ. is the cloaking device. Every other scifi univerise has one. Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, everyting. Not having the ability to hide your ships is a major limitaion. I want one. I hope a cloaking device is added. Way Cool!!!!
The term minor only means they start with less, it does not mean they are to be taken lightly.
Personaly I never design my own race. If I want something different I just moddify one of the existing races. Take the Yor for instance. If you were to make a race with all of thier abilites, you may get close, but not quite. The yor get a 100% loyalty(can't get that high normaly). You also get the Yor's 8 logistics and 25 minituization. All of these can not be changed and why would you. If you want to design

Vassals- yes Unique buildings- sounds good Unique ships and parts- yes yes yes!!!!! does it make sense to anyone that the evil Yor and the from some far off place Thalans have the same ship design Wormholes- depends, would need some balanceing or like the anomilies with the temporary natural wormholes, just make them permanant
I always have the AI saying "move your starbase" or "so and so is a threat" I hope that we get to do that in the expansion pack
