I remember being very young and being in a strange hotel room with my family. I was on the floor in a sleeping bag at night with my teddy bear (a Paddington Bear) and took its paw and rubbed myself. I assume that it was to comfort myself in a strange place. I felt that I was being bad for doing it. Later when I reached my teens I would sped a lot of time i

hmmm, come to think of it, every girlfriend I've ever had was second hand too. Thanks for the chuckle Mason! Second hand is first-rate, in my book. <BR

The stores in my area actually get a ton of new stuff that was clearanced at the store (usually Target) but never sold. Sooooo...yes I actually have bought underwear at the second hand store...but they weren't second hand underwear...unless the inspector tested them... )

I went to Goodwill and Salvation today. I love looking at the stuff...ok..junk. Sure, some of it is junk but there's just as much good stuff. I bought a pair of jeans for 4 bucks. Like new jeans that weren't even worn at the knees or arse. Most times I don't find any shirts or blouses worth buying, but I love the jeans. Some even have the tags on them s

Okay I'm going to try it. I will try to compliment everyone I meet today. Thanks Loca, I'm interested to find out how your day goes!

And we meet hundreds, perhaps more, people each day. Wow, you're a busy guy. In comparison I live a reclusive life. Yeah, it would be hard to compliment all of them.

honest compliments are worth a lot more than a thousand shallow ones. So you can't honestly find something good in most people? And I thought I was the pessimistic one...hmm

Xythe, Thanks for the honesty. I guess I'm not looking for nor do I often give out life altering compliments. And I'm definitely not talking about lying - not even little white lies. I'm mainly talking about simple things that help people know that you've noticed them. It could be, "your hair looks nice today...you have a beautiful smile..." Simple things like this. <td

Note: this is not related to anything that's going on here! I've noticed lately that a friend of mine, a very good friend, is very judgmental. I don't like it but I don't want to call her on it. I've tried to be subtle, but it hasn't worked. In one situation we were at the store and saw a couple that was very overweight. I notice them, but

In preparation for making Christmas gifts I asked a friend what her favorite color is. She said she doesn't have one. Not have a favorite color? I thought everyone had a favorite? Am I just being childish? Mine is yellow. What's yours?

Lucas, Order me up some Knob Creek burbon. I'm not in this game either. Matter of fact, make it a double on the rocks! Thanks, QOD

Here are mine: 1. A certain man in my life whose feng shui (his term not mine) is messed up when the dish plates aren't stacked in the proper order. 2. The same man who must have the silverware placed handle down (unless it's a knife)in the dishwasher. 3. The same man who must have the silverware placed in the drawer with all the handles neatly stacked. 4. The same man who must use a new glass for ever drink even if it's only been 5 minutes since he finished u

For what my opinion is worth: I watched the second debate and was highly disappointed with DeVos. I think he's a terrible communicator. What's with his weird facial expressions? He didn't make a good impression on me - and I was going to vote for him. Now I don't know what to do....

I can guarantee you that if she puts the glass out the little buggers will pick that over the soil. It make take a week or so but they'll figure out where the good stuff is.

I'm leaving the little guy's name ambiguous. You could say I'm protecting the guilty. He's a little love bird. I got a call on Sunday. "Please come get this bird today." This from a woman who has been telling me for TWO years that her bird needs a new home. I've told her all along that I would take him. I wish I had been more forceful. Severa

I went camping the week of Labor day. I guess I got lost coming back from the park. Bad part is it's only on the other side of town. 20 miles tops. Yet, it's taken me some 45 or so days to find my way back to JU. I've thought about everyone here. Wondered what's up with everyone. Well, I'm back. Let the questions resume....<!-- Ju-Anchor-Footer-Start

JillUser - This will absolutely work - I promise - even with fruit and plants still in the house! Take a small bowl and fill it 1/4 full with white wine (I'm sure any fruit juice would work too but I haven't tried it). Add a few drops of dish soap. Leave on the counter and be amazed at all the flies it collects. They are attracted to the sweet wine(juice) but the soap changes the surface tension so they sink! I'm not su

Two words: cattle prod Have you ever felt one? One one of my dumber days I put one on my finger. My entire arm was numb for about an hour. Nope that's a bit over the top of any child I seen... but the parent...hmmmm

If someone reprimanded my child while I was present and fully capable of dealing with the situation, I would not be pleased. What if you didn't see what they did? I agree with Tova...NEVER put your hands on my chil

The other day I was at the library using a computer. The computers are scattered around the library so there's no separate lab. There were two little girls playing on a computer near me. They were the cutest things and just full of giggles. The got up and walked away from the computer. A few minutes later they came running by me and one of them bumped int

It looks great! If you're building it for yourself I wouldn't worry about resale value right now. There are always things you can do later no. But man, is there really no clear path from the garage into the second story? I'm not old, but I tell ya, I'd never make it from the garage to the bathroom when I "gotta go."

Dharma, I'm glad to hear that you are OK and out of the hospital. I know you had a bad experience, but please, please, please if you have ANY problems over the weekend go in - just in case. I spent most of the ride concentrating on my breathing and trying not to freak out. That's obviously an important step - but I'm not so sure I woul

Very well then, may your first attempt (assuming that some day you make one) be one-hundred percent successful, you snotty little biatch... and yes, virginia, we've all heard of Eminem here. You've put too much energy here into someone who doesn't deserve it. Save your words for those that add value to our planet. <img src="http://images.stard
