Yeah I would have to echo the sentiments about going into a store and browsing, and having a physical box to look at. I love PC game boxes the bigger the better, it doesn't make much sense but I look at my old game boxes all the time. BTW, (GalCiv2: Collectors Edition) has one of the best boxes around! Who ever designed it deserves a raise and some free donuts ; ) Edited for spelling.

I think the cold war also had an effect on US-Muslim relations, as well as Russian-Muslim relation's. Both sides in the cold war used the middle east to project their power, resulting in a hatred of all things not Muslim. Another factor in bad relations with Muslims would to be ignorance of the majority of its people. Most regions in the Middle east are lead by religious fanatics, that see anything not Muslim as a threat to their power. If

I created this Blog mainly to discuss topics relating to strategy games, I'm 34 and became interested in gaming about 5 years ago, and have been playing various games ever since. The first game I played was (Unreal Tournament) a FPS, a Friend of mine gave me a MP demo of the game and I feel in love with it instantly. I found myself online competing every chance I cou

"One of the reasons some people like multiplayer is that you get a lot more variety. But having played multiplayer for years and years (I love multiplayer personally) there really aren't that many strategies. At least, not when you get good at it." This has been the problem with most MP Strategy games. There really needs to be some new innovation that allow users to develop their own strategies and not just exploit flaws in the games

Thanks for the update! I personally don't mind if it takes awhile to create a game, as long as the finished product is...well finished. But With Stardocks reputation I know that Society will be a quality product upon release! Keep up the good work!

Liberal nuts tend to be crazy but managable onscreen. Conservative nuts (particularly militia nuts, the natural opposite of the Greenpeacer) are often just frightening, so they don't get as much airtime. Liberal nuts obtain more air time because the media is biased toward the Left! Hollywood is filled w

Conservatives, in my opinion, are much better at showing restraint than left-wing liberals This is very true, and evidence this opinion can be found from President Bush having to ban protesters from Funerals at Arlington Cemetery an hour before and an hour after a FUNERAL!! There is nothing more disg

Great post Brad!!!! I couldn't agree more with what you said, The true irony about the liberal doctrine is that they don't see how intolerant they are of people with Conservative viewpoints, while they are preaching about how we need to be more tolerant of people with liberal viewpoints!

I would also like to say that early advertising of a game like Society is a great way to get the buzz going! It might not be a bad idea to place a half page add for Society in the near future. But weighing the cost of a add might out rule that idea. I remember reading about Spore in last years E3 Coverage from PC Gamer and I found it very interesting, then I read the preview on Spore in this years E3 convention in CGW and I was down-right excited about it. I don't know why, I don't re

I receive Computer Gaming World and PC Gamer and I do look at all the add in them, If I find a game that looks interesting I will look online to find out more information on it. So I would say they do work, But I didn't hear about GC2 in them I heard about it at Civfanatics Civ4 Forum before you ran the adds in the magazines. I usually won't buy a game until I read most of the reviews on it from the major online outlets such as Gamespot and

Winners forget they're in a race; they just love to run. If you're doing it for the adulation of your peers, you're doing it for the wrong reason. Whats this supposed to mean? I'm playing the game for the wrong reasons? I play the game because it's fun the gameplay that is, and the looks really don't matter to me! I play most of the game zoo

I voted no, I think that kind of material should be added into the expansion or release for free! I hate the idea of Stardock selling off little bits and pieces of the game! And I really don't care if they add anymore ship builder components into an expansion either, There's enough components in it already for whatever I need to make. I would rather they focus on other things in the artwork realm like battle animations, right now the ship just tend to float around and fire from w

I just got my magazine today and I just finished reading the Review From Bruce. Congrats on the Editors Choice Award! Its a very good read, I can't believe that GC2 out sold all software, not just PC games software at Walmart?!?!?!?! WOW Too bad that Bruce lost another game to Tom though, but BFME2 has a win for Tom written all over it!

Nice to see you back on the forums!!!! Glad to see you had a nice vacation! Expansion due out by Christmas huh, well I guess I have two Expansions to put on Santa's List this year GalCiv2 Expansion (Name??????) and Civ4: "Warlords", looks like it's going to be a very merry/gaming Christmas this year!!

Sure, you can't go purely by that. But the alternative of "Hey look, trust me, there's a lot of people who want MP" isn't very compelling either. I don't like making major budget decisions based purely on gut feelings. Any time one gets into a serious discussion on the size of the strategy MP market, you inevitably get its advocates saying

I would want a MP Expansion for GalCiv2. I do like the SP Experience of GC2 but I also would like to be able to play it online! GC2 is the only SP game I have ever bought and thats says a lot on how good this game is, I usually won't consider buying a game that doesn't include MP! I currently trying to convince some of my Friends that I play online with to give GC2 a chance but its a up hill battl

I'm not suprised by the results, most people think this game is great myselft included! As for a Multiplayer Expansion I would love to see one released, GalCiv2 is the only SP game I have ever purchased! The Demo was just to good to pass up and my fellow Civ4 fans talked so hightly of this game that I had to buy it!!!

I would have some interest in purchasing a ship bonus pack. I would have a lot more interest in buying a Multiplayer Expansion pack which would allow me to show off my cool ship designs online and then destroy my Friends ships with them! Put them both together in one giant Expansion pack for $30 and I'll pre-order as soon as it is available!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I have 3 co-worker that would go out and buy GalCiv2 tomorrow if it
