Get Cari to send you the exe that works, like she sent me. Can I get this exe sent to me as well, I`m still dealing with support trying to get this problem fixed. The other problem is when I run the dark avatar exe directly it comes up with a message saying it is having problems activating the game, shows a blank screen briefly and I can hear the monitor switching video modes and then it drops out back to the desktop. I have registered dark avatar correctly. This is the same problem I`m still having

The only thing I haven`t tried is a full reformat of my machine, Which I`m now seriously considering. I just finished reformatting my machine. I still cannot activate DA. There`s nothing left I can do.

Sometimes the support emails do go into my junk folder. I do retrieve them from there. I will respond to the 72hr ticket. All I really want is some kind of update on the status of this. Is there a problem with the activation system that you know of? Do you think the problem could be at my end? No, it`s not. Miscommunication I can understand, I get no communication other then Kryo on these forum`s. I don`t want to post this, I really don`t. But, I`m not kidding when I write I`m getting zero response from support. I`ve tried being nice. Apparently I only get a response when I rant and rave like a madman. What else can I do here?

This thread has focused on problems and negativity for the most part. I would like to add something positive too it. I`m able to play the DA 1.5X update on my offline PC I just played through a game on painful. Med galaxy, 6 races. The Drath were one of those races. Here`s another piece of info for the support staff if they should happen to see this. I used the offline activation to play the game on a non internet PC I`m able to play the DA 1.5X update on my offline PC with the original sig.bin file I received. Would I be able to receive a generic sort of sig.bin file via email that I could place in the DA folder of my online PC for activation?

I do feel misled by this. There was no info anywhere to state that we would only get a CD in a sleeve. Box image + CD = boxed CD. Thats basic human understanding. You clearly have a pack shot of a box. I completely agree. I also was expecting boxed CD. But, This is the least of the problems I`m having with this expansion at this point.

Have you been asked to right click on DA in SDC and choose the Activate with Logging option? Never Even if it fails at that, it should generate an activate.log file in SDC's directory that will tell what sort of error it speficially encountered in the attempt. I found an account.Log file, I didn`t see a activate.log file

I do have a new piece of info for the support staff or anyone(kryo) at Stardock unlucky enough to stumble across this train wreck of a thread. I fired up SDC last night to try my luck at activating DA again. But, SDC does allow me to download both the DL and DA updates. SDC has to recognize me as a paying customer to allow the downloads correct? I downloaded and installed both successfully. DL still runs fine, DA? I did expect there will be a delay for the disc to go through customs. I`m not ready to start ranting on that quite yet. But, I can`t stop the hypothetical from entering my mind. I purchased DA on Feb 9, I used the offline activation to play the game on a non internet PC. I haven`t been able to activate the game on my online PC since. March 2, 2007 I`m still waiting for a suggestion other then update my serial # in SDC. Hmm...
