They are most likely gone for good. When you install new files, the old are often overwritten - especially when you do such a radical overhaul. A good rule of thumb... never delete anything you want to keep. Just saying...

I only have vanilla GC2, but I don't think so. You are starting a new game each time, right? Playing the correct race? Already have InterGov researched?

The odds stacked up exactly evenly, plain and simple. It is rare, but it can happen. You probably didn't lose many (if any) troops with that second round, I would imagine.

Why is the U in UFO always alien? Angel? Man made? Time traveler? Bah, never! Always alien.[/quote] The 'U' stands for 'unidentified'. It does not mean 'alien'. I guess something is lost in the translation.

...Never need more than 640k. Before that it was... Impossible to travel faster than sound. Now it's... Won't ever use all the IPv6 address space in a million years. What will be next? Oh, right... Can't travel (as in physical transportation) faster than light. Which will be proven false, first? Even though I probably won't be alive to see it, I'd bet on IPv6.

I guess in our future, space faring age, we also would not be able to translate another's language. We would not be smart enough, even though we had conquered the feats of space travel, genetic engineering etc. As for being interested in a less advanced, but none the less intelligent otherworldly creatures... What are the odds of us not wanting to investigate? Or the odds in us not regarding them as more than mere insects, or wanting to know what and how they think?

We are not alone... Whether it is ET or God, the same can be said. What is the meaning of this light show? Who knows. But I will never subscribe to a religion that punishes an innocent girl to death after she is raped, and leaves the raper free.

And the Bible mentions the 'sons of God' (angels) taking the 'daughters of men' as wives, as well as describing other intelligent 'creatures' and, in Ezekiel, what sounds like a spaceship encounter. Whether these things are ET in the traditional sense, or perhaps even inter-dimensional beings occupying our Earth in a different set of dimensions, is anyone's guess. For me, belief in something has to come with some proof of existence - or at least some very plausible evidence.

Add to that, the constructor modules' cost is 80 and the size is 35. How many engines could you add within those costs and sizes? The size of the Impulse drive is your limiting factor. You could probably fit 3 of them because of the SizeMod, while still keeping it within the size of the Constructor Module. Given a speed of 2, and the hull having at least a speed of 1, 3 Impulse drives would give you 7 speed at a much lower cost - 24 vs. 80. If you go up in engine techs, the ga

Were you one that also complained about having the CD in the drive to play the game? Can't have it every way to your personal satisfaction, you know. (by the way, the word should be 'seated' - not 'seeded') I fail to see what you are disillusioned about, though. It is simply a new way of confirming that you actually bought the game without having the physical disc in the drive. "What I had previously expected and enjoyed about PC gaming had been to an extent re
