The biggest difference, I find, between AOW and MOM was the prebuilt map versus the random map. MOM started like CIV, which I really liked, making every game a new experience. AOW had prebuilt maps, which you could play a few times, and then you learned the map.
MoM was one of my all time FAV games, still have it on 3.5" floppies! Too true about Aow. Try AoW Shadow Magic has anice random map build

Thanks for the great details FB. This is great news, I really am liking the idea of parties of heroes wandering the lands looking for glory and treasure. Also, the DM/World-builder part of my ego is enticed by the idea of moulding the lands! Regarding the ability to zoom in, glad you are keeping it! Labeling the world is great too. Looking better and better! Questions: will you be able to put up quests, hire heroes to remove a threat? (ie. hire a stalwart band t

The posters also missed reading about being able to build your own races and uploadiing them for all. This will allow one to build campaigns with the different races as well. Glad they are focusing on 2 races and making them perfecto. I am really liking the screens and layout. Great interview. glad to see lots of exposure for this game! Testing will indeed be required as one unit type becomes dominant, you have to find a counter for it. Armoured knights - longbowmen and/or pikemen. Cavalry bowmen - armoured knights Dragon - ??? Once you add combat spells and creatures to the mix it will be lots of fun (and time) to test. [e digicons]:D[/e]

I don't mind getting weekly updates if there is information that can be shared and is interesting. Also, agree totally with landisaurus. Keep working on the game rather than prettying up frequent updates. Unless you can do both! [e digicons]*_*[/e]

I like your ideas Kuloth. The hybrid where you have detailed I think would be best in my opinion. There could be various options based on where the unit is located and any other units in area that could improve or slow healing: Town improvements: Temple - healers bonus to unit depleted strength per day they are in town Training grounds - adds veteran units instead of green troops (City or village with no training grounds adds green troops) Heroe

I like the idea of Human and Fallen. Leave the 'other races' to the MODDERs, community and perhaps expansions and updates. Will be interested to see the tech tree & spellbooks for each. Perhaps a variey of spells/tech/units that only they can use and then a general type as well.

Indeed. Dominion 3 PBEM is a great way to do this. I hope it is done this way here. (definite issue with Aow and AowSM) As well, if one can host on one's own server as an option would be good too.

This thread frightens and confuses me because when I see the word "Dragonlance," I feel a great flare of frustration because I got partway through the real thing with a D&D crew before the problem of being grownups made us have to ditch the attempt at finishing the story. I was not one of the players who suffered from spouses and children, and the gametime schedule di
