Then why not make a comparison to a release more relevant...like Windows XP Media Center Edition? Commenting on "the rotting stench" makes it sound much worse than "possibly unnecessary". XP Media Center....was, at the beginning....not a desktop OS. Wasn't supposed to be. PurrBall, One of the reasons Vista is quicker than XP, is the SuperFetch options. Like Prefetching, if WindowBlinds is seen as a commonly used app...Vista will add it to the list for better caching and easier access. I noticed that right away with Firefox as well. It took a third of the time to launch.

Morpheous416.. the issue you present is a skin problem not Windowblinds. How did I know that was going to be the first thing I seen as an answer? Ok..let me get this straight. Each time, someone installs a skin...let's use beta skins being tested for example...WB copies the animations and toolbars...etc. But, in order to go from one skin to the next to see changes, us beta testers know that we're to delete the previous from within WB?

Here's a great new feature in WindowBlinds 5.5!! If you don't like the option of having one choice in your animations window....how about six of them?? Wow....what a pissin' contestant indeed. True, the article was based Stardock and it's community...even I, the most hated of all Stardock members read that clearly enough...so the whole point of "who done what first" is rather a moot point in the least. Every company feeds off of what the others are doing...using one example, I do believe (if memory serves) StyleXP brought into use changing wallpapers and screensavers well before WindowBlinds. Finally...there's a crack in the wall. We'll finish up some of the issues on a more delicate level, as I'd be more than happy to at least point on themes that crash the programs vs themes that do not. And again, I'll reiterate my comments I made to Neil, that maybe someone at Stardock could take a look at them and help those that create them to understand that the themes must done/coded in order to prevent issues. No...you're not being held accountable for third party themes..

I agree with you Brad, you do get to the point regardless if you see someone taking a stab at your company. By default, you are going to be defensive. Vista will be an issue for months to come...as did all previous versions of Windows when it comes to getting software up and running. I agree...the OS has to be stable enough for others to even get a chance at getting the apps to function correctly. But...I am one to stand up and hope that Stardock will learn from years of Microsoft's mistakes...to not allow bad habits to rub off and become the norm. Pretty much...it boils down to this.
