Obviously not only are people stealing the programs for free, they are taking the icons and other graphics also :/. I speak out of NO knowledge on the subject however, just my point of view. I have seen a few threads talking about rips of other peoples skins, and icons, and thing of that nature. I think people should ask permission when doing this. But I never had the first desktop X (or anything earlier than a 2.x version) so I am not sure if its the real deal or not.
With a program called TClock (skins the clock, but does it tastefully, and not making it look ugly), you can have the start menu open from the right side of the taskbar. You can also use it to remove (check box on/off) the start button itself so it doesn't take up useless space. Works with WB also. The program is free, and I think it rocks . Here

A while ago I discovered that windowblinds and project64 (PJ64 from now on) don't like each other. I am pretty sure it is PJ64's problem, but I just want to make sure it isn't me being dense. When I have ANY skin applied, even the default blue/windows classic applied via WB5, PJ64 "fails to allocate memory" twice. I have added PJ64 to the exception list. Making it NOT skinned. Also making it forcefully skinned via the "Skin this app even if it uses Direct3D" option. Neither

Ummm... around 2 weeks. I was purposly seeing how long I could go, then, a crash. Opened to many things and my computer couldn't handle it lol. Now I reboot 3-4 times a day usually. My AVG does periodical scans, and if I am on webcam during or after a scan, my computer crashes. It sucks >_
They aren't using the regular window GUI. They are (afaik) using their own skinning system. So they aren't effected by windowblinds .

This happens to me also. I first noticed it in an msn convo with a friend. She didn't understand what I was talking about cause it wasn't happening to her. Then noticed it in photoshop. It only happens when I drag the window however. Otherwise the color shows up fine .

If I understand correctly, you want to have an image LINKED to a game. Sort of like a shortcut? But you want it to load without clicking? You can do the first one quite easily. Linking an image to a file on your computer. But you HAVE to have some mouse interaction to load that shortcut.
