Like I said ; its what works for me....I have the free-ware version, and I have played with it for a while. I'm sure there's better help coming along, But I'll help you with what I can....again good luck!!!!!!
Hi, what works for me is to unzip the files >>>hi-lite the folder and move the folder to "background" if its a background..."theme" if its a theme...ect... sometimes I had to open the folder...and hi-lite the objects in the folder then move them to the respective folder in objectdocks folders......good luck....I'll check on ya later.... <img src="http://images3.
Or maybe manually remove it from your registry.....
you may also want to try to use "tune up utilities". I dont have the link right off hand. but it will clean up your registry and any other nasties that dont belong.Granted its not an adware remover but it will remove whats left behind. And did you download and use "adware se personal". I'm sure this will help. good luck!!!!!!!!!
SIGH...I was afraid of that...thanks, ~scion~... maybe a system upgrade is at hand....
wb4 works awsome...lol it even ran gt3 for wb5 just like it was for wb4....
onboard...
hello everyone...well, even after all the posts about wb5, I thought I would try it.So I did a fresh format and xp home install, so there would be nothing to go wrong, and downloaded the trial version from stardock. Now after 5 hours of fighting just to get my start menu to open... I was using the amazing gt3 skin (btw)...I uninstalled wb5 and now looking to go back to wb4.6...it was just more stable...some of my favorite skins wont work in wb5, "anai"
thank you jafo....sometimes one needs reminding
I've been at this for a couple of days now..so I'll give it a rest..and try a new cd rom install....hopfully it'll work...if not I'll be back. Thanks jafo...you've given me some food for thought....I appreciate your help...even thought this is a skinning site and I should be asking skinning questions...again...thanks
I have tried the disk om this system...the one I'm using now....and everything loaded the way it was supposed to....
yes..it does all but read it....so it may be time to get a new cd rom
I thought the lens might be dirty....so I cleaned it with forced air....
yes it does.....
and I have checked all the connections...and everything is connected...
I have two factory disc's..both are "fresh out of the box" new. the cd rom wont read it...it'll start to then the message "not found" comes up...I know that when fomating a disk it erases everything. nothing can be read from the cd rom. not even music...nothing....before the format I did try to update drivers for it.....and realizing I had 19+ gigs of files and folders, which really confused me. its only a 20 gig hard drive, but the system ran fine?!?
now that the jokes are over the system does "see" the cd rom drive, but can not read the boot up disk to install the drives needed, it seems the format removed the drives from dos. yes it was told to read from the cd rom first.I'm trying to do a fresh reload...if the cd rom cannot read the disk, obviously it wont load any needed drivers. like I mentioned earlier...it
I need some real help folks...I formated my disc and trying to reload windows XP. I have been through my computer bios and have set it to boot from my cd rom drive. I am getting this message saying "not found". I have exhausted all my options to try to reload my computer and have no success any help is needed and greatly appreciated.....
BTW..I have dragged all the desktop icons I use to the dock...then turned the icons off....
right click on tne desktop...goto..."arrange icons by"...click... "show desktop icons"...this will turn of all of your desktop icons and leave everything else...
sure ...anytime....if all else fails...maybe a reinstall...I've had to do it a few times....un-install..clean the registry...and reinstall...and all worked well....maybe even try to unload everything...re boot...then re-load....
at least it works for me....
flemmus...try changing the color on your background....right click on your background>click on your background tab...click on your color box...pic a color thats as close or match it to your background color >click apply...then okay....that should work....
