ANYONE?
Hi All*, Icons have always been my Favorite thing to be able to customize. However, it appears to be one of those things that just aren't as popular as they once were, which truly makes ME sad. I WISH I had the talent to create them myself, but for several reasons, it's just not an option for me. SO, I would like to know; Are there ANY being worked on? Any NE
No offense Jaffo*, (personally), but after spending as much as I have, for OD and almost all of the premium themes, this being offered to 'Members Only' is offensive to ME. Sorry!! Merry Christmas, Joey Lee*
Hello to All* & Merry Christmas, I think that the new theme 'looks' Super! However, Why is this not available to those that are Object Desktop subscribers as well? Also, regarding the two separate subscriptions; considering the higher cost for the OD Script; the fact that I have purchased a great amount of Premium themes/suites; and just today, finally purchasing Cursor XP, shouldn't there be some way where members of eit
Thank You!; to both of You*! I truly appreciate the responses.... Thanks Again! JoeyLee*
Hi All*, It's been a while since I posted this. This "problem" of having "wise-post.exe" downloaded with every program update, or download from Object Desktop is really becoming a pain in the a**. I DID purchase Object Desktop, and I DO have my "email receipt". So, can SOMEONE/ANYONE , Please give me some advice on ' fixing ' this? JoeyLee*
Thanks Keikonium, I apprecciate your answering my post. But, I am an Object Desktop Member, I have been for, I think, 2 years plus, or so. So, with any luck, someone else just might have an idea. By the way, it seems to be in every one of the OD programs I have. I did try to delete the file once. But, either after restarting Windows, or after checking for updates on Stardock Central, the file returns again. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid
Hi All*, I've been having quite a lot of problems with my PC lately; mostly having to do with my Anti-Virus/Spyware scanner (Freedom Security Suite Premiere). In my Spyware list, it's constantly trying to quarantine or delete "wisepost.exe", which, so far, I have kept it from being deleted, setting it to "Prompt me" for action to take. Has anyone else had this result? And Please, tell me what I CAN do to stop it? Is it a necessary file? Any and ALL Help I
I think I have tried everything mentioned, however, every time I try to apply a full set of icons; if I apply the filetypes or custom files, although they will change and appear to "work", the next time I reboot the PC, I end up with an inoperable system; the taskbar flashes, all desktop icons flash. Then, given no other choice, it's a heck of a frustrating challenge to "catch" the taskbar-start button- more programs-system restore, all before everythi
I believe I have tried everything, including uninstalling completely; then reinstalling the latest version of IP. After rebooting, it causes my task bar to flash, desktop icons disappear; then come back on for a few seconds before flashing all again. Restoring version 3.09(b) seems to be the only one working for me. (My PC specs below my signature) Anyone else having similar problems? Anyone? JoeyLee* P.S. I'm running Windows XP
Hi All*, I'm having a problem updating to the new release of IconPackager 3.1. As soon as I reboot, my taskbar flashes repeatedly, causing somewhat of a crash. I've had to restore an older beta version archive. Do we need to uninstall IconPackager, reboot, then do a complete install of the new version? Any help is appreciated, JoeyLee* p.
Hi "Styles", I have a similar problem with my mouse, it's part of my Microsoft "Bluetooth elite desktop; Keyboard/Optical Mouse". I'd have never bought it except it was VERY mispriced at a Best Buy (only $79 for the set). I got to the register, when they scanned it's UPC, the price was over $200. Lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it, they have a policy, if it priced wrong (at a lesser value), you get it at THAT price; NOT a bad deal
Thanks! I'll try your advice, it's very much appreciated. JoeyLee*
Hi Again, I have just tried installing the Gris & Glow theme, though not having the desktop icons or the filetypes checked. Those that were unchecked reverted back to original Windows icons. I did do this prior to "Loading" the theme.? Thanks, JoeyLee*
It has happened with all categories, but as I just tried to apply a theme, but not the file-types or custom; they were switched back to 'default', a few just blank. Oh, and yes, it happens regardless of whether I uncheck/check prior. Your Help is Appreciated, Thank-You, JoeyLee*
Hi All*, I'm running Windows XP SP2 (MCE). Regarding all updates to Icon Packager v3; when trying to install a theme, but attemting to only install "part" of a theme, as in just certain "check-marked"' categories; (desktop, start menu, folder, but not files, others etc.), it replaces all of the others, regardless, with either the original Windows icons or the full theme regardles of settings checked. I haven't seen this pointed out by
Hi Mrs. Poddytat*, One of the main differences in the WB5 application (appearance) is the whole "menu" for installing/uninstalling/apply this theme/edit etc.., if you look closely at the main window of WB5, right in the middle of the theme that's "featured", is the menu. Underneath the 'featured or installed' theme, are two buttons; one's a 'tree view' button; the other is 'refresh'. I've found that you have to use the 'refresh' button quite often
Hey Y'all*, I'm really glad to see this has helped some of you*. I'm usually a bit leery about posting, as I've been slammed in the past. But, being a "moderate" PC user; having similar probs as most posting; I finally did get it to work. And, it was much easier than the steps I had been taking previously. This worked for me, so I shared it with you all. Glad to see it helped! Have a Great Day! JoeyLee* <img src="http://images.stardock.
Hey Y'all, Mine had crashed a dozen times prior to my "steps" in post #1. I thought I was following everyone's advice, then somewhere I read; ''to try unistalling WB 4.6 completely'', then reboot, and download and install the upgrade. It's been working fine ever since. Joey*
Hi All*, Like myself, I can see it's the same with MANY of you trying to upgrade to WB5, if only someone had suggested THIS first!, I'd have saved a lot of headaches. In no way am I and expert on software or Stardock. Although the steps I have below are probably posted somewhere else, if so, I hadn't found it and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to do. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Crying.g
Thanks a lot y'all! I appreciate the advice. Joey Lee*
Hi Y'all, I bought a new PC about two months ago, a Gateway 835GM with the "new" Intel Pentium Processor D, dual processor 820. I'm curious if anyone knows if any of the widgets support it (the dual processor)? And if not, will it cause problems to attempt to use a widget that shows the cpu speed? I hope this isn't a 'dumb' question! Thanks for any advice or responses! Joey Lee*
