You can't expect teachers to teach until the teaching profession gets a better reputation. If a child is good in math, s/he is not encouraged to teach, but to get a "real" job that pays better. The cliche' "Those who can't do, teach." has become the motto of the education system. I liked this book as well. I read it for a class last year and found it an interesting, easy and fun read. I thought it sounded like the author had good insights into the autisitc mind.
