WindowBlinds Discount Coupon

And Memory usage

I am asked for a discount coupon number when trying to buy WindowBlinds and was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of where to get one please? Also I read that WindowBlinds uses no additional memory when being used. Can you change the gui look using the skins and then remove only the windows blinds program and retain the new look? Does the program just reskin the gui and stop running after skinning is done? I assume Windowblinds or any part of it will not show up in proccesses running then. This seems like the coolest program for windows gui there is and cant wait to try it again. Thanks very much.

There are no discount coupons I believe.

There is a trial version you can try to see what the app is like before you buy.

I believe the way that Windowblinds has been described is that it extends from the regular windows operating system; one of the news articles previewing WB5 can answer that questions more in depth than I can (and probably more correctly).

As for skinning the GUI, if you remove Windowblinds then it will revert back to the default Windows Classic setting, and you won't be able to retain the skin.

There are a couple of programs I've seen out there that are free and can replace everything about your GUI (icons, shellstyle, everything with a predetermined look, but they don't have the flexibility or options that Windowblinds has.

It only uses memory to change skins. THe actual skin drawing is done by the graphics chip freeing up resources or other stuff.

Nope, it reverts to Windows classic. But it won't get in your way. There is an icon added to the taskbar to change skins.

Stardock has suite that lets you change almost every aspect of Windows all managed from one app (Stardock Central). Check out the suite here: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/

Hi thanks for the replies. I click on buy windowblinds then get a screen asking if I want and then get a screen asking if I want object desktop or just windowblinds. I choose object desktop and then get to another screen that asks if I want to add Utopia Icons and or Oxidized Suite, on that screen on the upper left part of order summary there is link that says Click Here To Enter a Coupon!. I click that and get a small window with field for number. By the way, is it worth the 9 bucks for the utopia icons and the 7 for oxidized suite? Is obfect desktop worth the extra 30 bones? I do not want a program that runs resident in the backround. Windowblinds claims it does not. I do not eve use animated Icons to keep as few things running as possible. Again, Thanks very much for your help I really appreciate it.

I'd hold off on these until you get used to everything else . . . It's been a rare suite that stayed on my desktop very long. I mix and match componants.

As to the whole OD suite vs. just WB . . .no question. Once I could customize my windows . . I HAD to skin everything else.

I get the same pop up window for the discount coupon. If you have the trial version and you click on the red BUY button it pops up when your at the check out window. Some companies are offering #'s that give a 10% or more discount off your purchase when entered. New user and I really like it, but 20 bucks U.S is too steep with wage roll backs at work ( little things like this are what goes first ). It's definatly worth the 20 bucks, however to pricy for a add on for me currently. If they ever offer new customers a discount Number or a sale I would be talked into buying it at 15 bucks.. again nice and if you got 20 bucks to burn on a toy for your pc this is fun to use.

Stardock does occasionally offer coupons on new products or for promotions on upgrading. Generally these are offered to existing customers.

There are no coupons in circulation at this time.
