Ship Design/Style trading?

I was just thinking about something from GC1 and was wondering if it was still present in GC2, since it relates to the new Ship Design feature.

In GC1, when you traded ships, the ships graphics change to that of the AI that is recieving them. So my question is: In GC2, does the ship design/style change to the AI's like GC1 when they are traded, or do the ships remain unchanged, but with the new Civ's color?

Glavius is correct, the graphical style stays the same, but the colors change to match the new race.

We even had a situation in the campaign where the Dreadlords traded ships to the Yor, so we saw these crazy organic purple ships flying aroudn the galaxy.

It was weird.

I see. So now, for an example, I can tell if the Torians are supplying ships to the Arceans, who I am at war with.... and then know who to go after next (or just bribe a Civ Im friends with to attack the Torians). Wow... sweet.

Thanks for the answer!
