What's the deal with support for IconPackager?

Is anyone working on fixes for IconPackager 3.1? There have been several posts about problems with crashes, icon packages not applying correctly, etc., and this forum, which I assume is for support, seems noticeably quiet with little or no activity.

What's the deal?

? mine works fine. Have you reported a problem your specifically having?

Just to answer your question, Yes, someone is "always" working on bug fixes for almost all of Stardock's apps. It just depends on where that particular program is on the priority list. That's how it got to be version 3.1 If no one worked on it.....it would still be version 1.0

This forum is not the "official" place for Stardock support. It is a user supported forum. In other words you relate what your problem is and other users who have been through or are aware of a fix for will try to help you. Occasionally, (actually a lot more frequently now than in years past) someone from Stardock does monitor/post in the forum. Your "official" route for support is support@stardock.com

Please feel free to post about any problems you are experiencing and hopefully someone will be able to help you.

There was a problem with icons saving in different spots in your pack for quite a long time, but it has been addressed in the lastest update of IP.

Can I rephrase that last statement of mine? I thought it was addressed, but it's seems not to be so.

It certainly hasn't been addressed... anytime I select a different pack it's a lottery as to where they'll all end up. Usually all over the place. Extremely annoying.

47songs: can you contact me directly at bharper@stardock.com and give me more information on what is happening? Please supply a screen shot if you can.

AiTakahashi: do you mean when just applying an icon package? Can you give us more information on what you mean?

Hi baggins,

Yes, the problem is only when changing icon themes/packages. It seems to only affect certain, random icons. Out of say, 30 icons on screen, it shuffles about 10 - 20 of them around, not to random locations, but taking certain ones, and replacing them with others found elsewhere on the desktop, essentially swapping locations. Sometimes I don't even notice it's happened 'til I go to click an icon in its normal place, and I find it where the icon I do find, used to be.

Just to confirm, icon positions on your desktop are actually being swapped around? The actual icons themselves are fine?

Yep, the icons are fine, they just trade positions randomly.

No problem, I'll send "before" and "after" shots.
