I get exited from game after galaxy setup screen

I have gone so far as to even, uninstall and reinstall the entire game and I still have the same problem. It first arose when I tried to play Battle of the Gods. The next time I came back the default was Battle of the Gods. When I switched it to Normal, I noticed that the Research win was unavailable. then when I tried to go to next screen, I was exited from game with an error dialog to report the error to Micrtosoft. I tried to copy the contents of that file but couldn't(read don't know how).

Well... The best I can offer to you is that release isn't that far away now, and it's MUCH better than the last public beta version.

C:\Documents and Settings\whatever your name is\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2

Go to that folder (may be slightly different on your system of course....but basically doc and settings....you.....your docs....games....galciv2

DELETE the Prefs.ini and/or CurrentCustomRace.raceconfig

Tada!!!

I ran into your same issue, when I saw your post about reinstalling not helping I realized there must be some files not deleted....and thats typically in your DOCUMENTS AND SETTING folder
