I've heard of earth 2150 but never played it, what is it?

This rocks...finally something new to spend my tokens on
Topware doesnt exactly have 100% smash hits, but they have several very solid titles, and many less expensive but fun budget type games.

I've heard of earth 2150 but never played it, what is it?

It's a real-time strategy game from a few years back. It was one of the first games to use hardware T&L to good effect and has gained an almost cult following from fans. The version we'll be putting up on TGN will contain Earth 2150 and both expansion packs.

I for one am really looking forwards to getting Earth 2150, I tried the demo at the time it came out but was too hooked on Total Anhilation to pick it up. Not too sure on 3 tokens for Earth 2160, it looks good but I have seen it for less in retail of late.

The Rally game looks pretty interesting as well, I am not one for racing games but my other half will love it

3 tokens = ~$21.00. If you've seen it for less, go for it.

If someone does pick up a 3rd party title you carry elsewhere, and you have a later version on your server, do they have access to it?

Not sure I understand the question...  If you buy a game elsewhere that we carry, you cannot download the same game from us without first buying it from TGN.

Updates - Example: If the box version is 1.00 and the latest (or on the SD server) is 1.5 does the box serial number work for the download.

Just expanding on the ramifications of your "if you see it for less, go for it" comment.

If not, then you would have to find the update elsewhere - yes?

The box serial would not work for download, as SDC would not recognize it.

I think Knights & Merchants is another game I've been diving into bargain bins to
find. Demo soon, I hope?
My three tokens were set aside for Etrom, but now I'll just have to top up my tokens
after buying Earth 2160

Unfortunately, we've been informed by TopWare that we will not be getting Earth 2160 due to a contract snafu on their end.   All the other titles that were mentioned will be getting added, however, including Knights & Merchants.

Darn! Try sweet-talking them, please?
But as long as there are new games coming, I guess I shouldn't complain.
I did, but they've told us we'll get future considerations to make up for it.

I'll try to get it up for early next week.   I'm trying to post stuff in the order it's being requested, so next up is the Earth 2150 Trilogy, then Knights & Merchants, then Xpand Rally and Septerra Core.   The Earth Trilogy is just taking a long time to get ready because it's huge (more than 200 hours of gameplay for 1 token is a phenominal deal any way you look at it).

A quick question on Xpand Rally, I have heard it uses Starforce for copy protection, will this be stripped out of the version I can get here ?

It could of course just be the on the retail CD's but just curious.

I'm not 100% certain as yet, as I need to get serials from TopWare before I can test it, however I can say this: Our version will not use StarForce or we will simply not carry it (since it won't work properly with our system).

When I know for certain, I'll post back here.

P.S: Xpand Rally will be made available the first week of April. It's under embargo until then.

What, a mere token for the 2150 trilogy? That's a better deal than the full-priced
game in the one local store that had it

No doubt, in tokens it's slightly more than a trip to McDonalds or Wendys.   Especially considering that it's something like 300 hours of gameplay. That comes out to about 3 cents per hour if you were to buy it standalone.
