Yea i got desktop x its saved as a .dxtheme and if i extract it and all that i cannot use it can you help

So like how do i get desktop x to read that file and change it to a desktop cause there is no icon in the .zip file

Don't extract it. Double click the .dxtheme file.

Right-click the download link > Save Target as > select "All Files" in the "Save as type" drop-down list > save to your desktop > double-click to install and apply theme.

.....download the file to your hard drive and double click it...voila..it's installed.

GridScapeDX.dxtheme If you go to  https://www.wincustomize.com/download.aspx?LibID=31&SkinID=1954 and click download okay if you open it how do I get it as my backround

I am abviously trying to get it as my desktop and my wallpaper I am getting it from wincustomize.com and its a theme so you have to be able to get it on your computer

I don't think he has the program installed. I think he thinks the theme is the program?

It still just opens the .dxtheme in a zipfolder then what i have desktopX

Yes......

Most skinned proggies use an archive format....a renamed 'zip' file....eg. Windowblinds' is 'wba'.

File association is 'usually' correctly set when you have properly installed the relevant Program....but not always.

So...to install/use a 'dxtheme' you need to install DesktopX first...and, if double-clicking on a dxtheme only loads winzip then you need to right-click - properties - association and set it/them to always open with DesktopX...

How do I set that File to open with desktop X cause i cannot find it haha i know its sad but im new with this desktop X maybe i am missing a certain Program i got Desktop X 3.1 but yea so how do i set that file to open with desktop X
