help! windows rebooting problem

hi all i have windows 2000... i've been using desktop x on and off and recently i installed the bootskin program.  i decided to leave my desktop x running with the new bootskin setting to see how it looks.  when i tried rebooting, it got me to my new bootskin.  however, once it seemed to finish loading, instead of bringing me into windows, it rebooted my computer again, and again, and again.. i am beyond stumped.  PLEASE anyone with some advice..

Can you boot to safe mode, or last known good configuration from the boot options screen (hit "F8" during boot to load boot options screen).

Try Last Known Good Configuration first, failing that boot to Safe Mode.

If you have not used Bootskin successfully with your machine, you may be running into a compatibility issue with the system BIOS.

If you have used Bootskin successfully, and applied a new theme, it may be the new theme creating the issue.

If you successfully load Windows, I would suggest either removing the new theme, or Bootskin program depending on the situation. Note - make sure to start Bootskin and restore the default boot screen before uninstalling if that is the route you decide on.

You do knows it's possible to have a custom boot screen without using Bootskin, or any other app? Cons are that you need to edit your boot.ini file (can disable your system if you make a boo boo! but easy to backup & fix) and you don't get a progress bar.
