Can't connect primary to secondary

I apologize, but somehow I embedded some html that broke the last post I made to this forum. You can read the beginning of it:

I still have the same problem.

Zubaz, I do have a firewall on my router. There is no Port blocking (other than default settings on the router).

Neil, I am 100% I am using the correct IP's.

Any other help?

after a full reset of everything, and assigning a new ip, AND connecting over the wireless instead of wired, it now works.

I am now going to turn on the features I want, testing at each step. I'll let you know what it was that broke it.
