Which is more appropriate?

I want to have the ability to use custom skins and to occasionally modify the toolbars, title bars, fonts, etc. in stock and custom XP skins but I am not going to be doing any design or creation of new skins.

What are the advantages of Object Desktop over the less expensive Windowblinds?

With the less expensive WindowBlinds, you get WindowBlinds, and nothing else. With Object Desktop you get WindowBlinds, and many other programs https://www.stardock.com/products.asp ... You also have acess to all pre-release versions, and any major upgrades that happen within the subscription period. [If WB6, DX4, etc., comes out while your subscription is valid, it yours for no additional cost.]

OK. Thanks But what I am really after is exactly how much "can't-live-without," added functionality Object Desktop brings to the table and what those functions are...??

how much "can't-live-without,"

This is going to be a strictly personal issue.

I use Object Dock+, Windowblinds, RightClick, Iconpackager, & Enhanced Dialogs every time I turn on my computer. I guess those make up my "can't live without" list.

Furthermore, I occasionally use DesktopX, SkinStudio Pro, WinFX, Object Bar, Icondeveloper and Virtual Desktops. They make up my "wouldn't want to live without" list

I would like very much to be able to use IconX every time I boot up but currently can't. That currently makes up my "your killin me" list.

In short, Object Desktop is a fantastic value given the price of any other software on the market. Object Dock+ is the best dock on the market and well worth the money. Hope this helps.
