black window backgrounds...

Aceutilities background remains black

I wonder, can someone help me?  I have a problem in that some programs such as Ace Utilities end up having a black background such that it is nigh impossible to read anything in the window.  This problem occurs both with and without Windowblinds loaded, but I know that Windowblinds is the cause.


Has anyone else had this problem, and has anyone found a solution?

In which part of the apps?

I just tried them here and the backgrounds looked fine here.  Does it happen after you do something specific?

It happens with remove junk files, clean system registry, in fact any sub-program of Ace Utilities.


I have noticed it somewhere else too, but I can't for the life of me remember where that was.


I originally thought it was something to do with Dialogue backgrounds, but it happens whether the "Skin Windows Backgrounds" is applied or not. Hmmmm! Over to you...

OK I am a complete idiot. This post can be deleted because I am a great big idiot and have found the reason why. It was nothing to do with Windowblinds, it just seemed to happen at the same time as installing WB. OK, cheers. I'm going to curl up in the corner now.
