Wallpaper question

Hello everyone. I hope this is the right area I am posting this question in. The set up of this forum is much different then what I am used to. I was recommended here from someone on another forum.

Anyways the question. I run dual monitors. I was playing around on the internet and noticed dual screen wallpapers. Played around for an hour trying to figure out how to make it work but can't seem to understand it. They size of the wallpapers were 2048x768. So it made me think that it would stretch across both screens. Is the only way to do this, is by making both monitors act like one big monitor? I would prefer not to due to my gaming and other things I do on the computer. I like having it reconized as two seperate monitors.

I do not know if the specs would help or not so I will give them

MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR MOBO, AMD Athlon XP 2800+, BFG Tech NVidia GeForce 6800GT OC, 1 gig ram. Guess that is all that would be needed. Thanks for the help.

If your reolution is 1024 x 768 then that wallpaper size is right for you. You need to set it to tile.

Whatever your resolution is the width needs(should) be doubled in size, then set it to tile. Of course that is only if you are using true dual monitor set up. Not spanning ar cloning.
