Hello good People,
I am pleased to announce the formation of the .................. JoeUsers Poker "A" List it is a new group I will be making up for those of us that now again love a good game of poker and those who would like to get seriously good at it. Who am I to make such a claim, well I have been playing Hold'Em since 1979 but I didnt play it full time until 1981 when I started playing as my sole source of income.
I will be hoping that anyone with even a passing interest will join and take advantage of anything we will have to offer like a bunch of material on playing the different games and stuff hard to find ANYWHERE else, like the new 6 man Hold'em which can be a killer if you arent prepared to play it but very good for making Bonus requirements which of course is the free money that a site will offer you to simply join up with them, they want to make sure you dont just grab the money and bail on them so they will make players stay for the "required" amount of hands before the free the bonus money and then when you play "X" amount you are free to go and cash it out. I didnt believe in them at first but once I cashed the first one I have not stopped and it is a GREAT WAY to build a bankroll to be able to take a serious shot at poker instead of trying to play it short stacked ( without enough money ) and not understanding what happened when you dont succeed.
I am just cranking this first blog out to let you guys know what is happening and who I am and all that good stuff, I will also try to link this up via the RSS feed to another blog that I have and then I will most probably add 1 or 2 more to attract a steady flow of users here, I am really going to try to do this right and I believe for certain that I can make money at this game. I also believe I can teach almost anyone to be a LOT better right away, I have taught my wife who died God Bless her and my girlfriend of today who never really played cards and Poker specifically until me. (I know I am a bad influence on the poor girl)
You want to know what the real deal is though? I can tell you what to do but it is up to you to do it, we have a real big problem in life and it is this. When someone teaches us to do something and we start to become successful right away we think that we know what we are doing and then we stop playing like we are taught and it all goes to hell pretty quickly and there we are bitching at Poker and life and our rotten luck when the truth was that we were our own worst enemy and destroyed a good thing when we decided that we knew better. You see Poker is a pretty simple game in the lower levels it is all about discipline, discipline and oh yeah......discipline and a bit of the odds which you can read frm a chart that I wrote up with the dollar amounts so there is no having to figure anything all you have to do is to play and get paid it really is that simple.
I have a story about how I really got started and why Poker is NOT a game of luck which I also did not believe when I started, but it makes sense if you think about it. How do you think all those good players like Johnny Chan and Stuey Ungar God Bles the dead but all the great players they seem to end up playing at the last couple and final tables almost constantly so how does that happen..................think about it . If it was luck then even they would lose and you wouldnt see all these guys repeating their winning ways time an time again right? They obviously know something that we dont and they obviously are able to be consistent enough at it that they are making money on a consistent basis and I was taught what that something is and I will share it with you. In fact when I was taught I was told to play a certain "style" the game was still 7 card stud at the time and the player told me that if I played the way that he was going to tell me and it did not work then he would return home with me and leave Las Vegas himself and so I tried it thinking all the while that I cant wait to come back and to tell him to pack but what happened was I turned 40 stinking bucks into literally close to 1500 in about 3 days and I was playing the smallest games in town at the time.
Ok, there will be so much more to follow but this is it for now I hope I have piqued your interest a tad because if I can get you interested and talking then we can figure the rest out please believe me, man or woman as long as you are over 21 and legal age to play online poker then I can help you, for those a bit younger I will still answer any and all of your questions that you may like to know. Dont think that I am the Big Poobah of Poker or that I think I am because I KNOW that I am not. In fact right now I am taking lessons from a world class player that I can not name because I dont have the permission to do so but maybe in time as he gets to know me and understands that I will not give away his info that he teaches with or do anything that he may object to then he may allow me to help others with a degree of knowledge that wont hurt his image or business.
So look for the "A" List, it will specifically be called JoeUsers-Poker-A-list and anyone and everyone is welcome, I can help you get started and answer any and all questions about playing online, how do you get paid, is it secure. Is it legit and all those things that ran through all of our minds when we first started. I dont believe in stupid questions and the only seriously stupid thing is to not take advantage of a huge windfall that comes your way only because you were afraid to ask a question in the first place right?
I wont hurt you and I dont bite, so please take a shot with me, hangout and get to know me and let us raise your present game and/or teach you the game what have you got to lose. Pick my brains I would if I was a younger player. Watch also for the very next article I publish in the "Dr Cynic-call" blog, it will be the story of how I first got started and how it all came to be all those years ago.
If anyone knows anything about how the site feeds work here I would be glad to have that information, like I said I want to link all my blogs together so when I publish in 1 spot they all get the update if anyone knows how to do that?
