Problem with WB5's transparency

Window borders flash pink after dragging to a new locations

Hi, I'm getting a problem with the transparency in Window Blinds 5. After I drag a window to a new location on the screen I'm getting a flash of pink when I release the window and it gets redrawn in its new location. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and knows if this will be fixed anytime soon. I'm using WinXP SP2 on my Toshiba Protege M200 Laptop/Tablet. (oh and on a side note, anyone know why the enter button isn't doing a carriage return in this forum tab)

Chris,

You will probably want to paste the text from the report generated by doing the following:

- Start WB > click the "System Information" link on left side of panel > copy and paste text to this thread.

This will help the WB Developers diagnose the issue, and allow for a possible fix.

The report will also tell you whether your graphics adapter supports "Per-pixel blending" which is required for the transparency effect to work correctly.

The "pink" you are seeing would be the "magic-pink" color used in skinning, which is recognized by the drawing engine as 'transparent'.

Based on current information, I would suspect one of the following:

- limited support for per-pixel blending in graphics adapter

- need for a different video driver version (some users have found the newest version to work best, while others have found older versions work best)

- you are using an older skin, which is not working correctly with the new version of WB5

Note - Stardock and WC staff will be back next week, after (hopefully) enjoying a nice vacation.
