Text colors in Dx

Hey, if anybody can help me, I'd really appreciate it.  I'm having a situation with text colors in DX.  My skills are pretty rudimentary, but I've created my own theme.  Most of my objects are simple text with functions for opening menus and such.  My problem is in choosing the colors for my objects.  Although most of my wallpapers are dark, so a white color shows up well, some of them may have lighter areas that correspond with where my objects are placed, making it difficult to impossible to see my objects, because they blend in.  I'm wondering if there's any way to set the color of my objects such that they will always contrast with my backgrounds.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You have several options.
You could put the text objects on some sort of background. Translucent medium-gray will bring both dark and light wallpapers towards the middle.

Also, from the States->Appearance properties tab for your object, you can check the Border Color box bottom left. Click the button to set color.

The States->Shadow/Glow tab offers more control than plain font border. Play with settings there, and you can offset your text with a contrasting color in many ways.
