Though I've just submited a few icons to the ObjectDock skin area, I've been a visiter and registered user of WC for a long time. One thing easy to see is, there are too many icons for the "famous" programs, like Photoshop, Winamp, WMP... As I know, a lot of people use many other programs on their PC, and they can't find their OD icons anywhere, as well as they do not know how to create one themselves (as in my case before).
So, why don't we have an "open area" for those OD users to request for their favorite programs' icons? And those who can use graphical apps can create them. It's also a chance to improve your skills isn't it ?
I'll be the first... Any one need an icon? You can send me a screenshot of the origin icon, and I'll try to make it an OD one (128, 256, in PNG or ICO...).
Not so good in graphik, so I need the help from the pro gd!

Just kidding.

The 'icons' we are making here are mostly in PNG format for ObjectDock, but on occassion when asked, we have made copies in icon format.

You don't need a script for either. Quite a few graphic programs will allow you to save in PNG. AS for the icon format, you can use IconPackager/IconDeveloper, which you can purchase through Wincustomize/Stardock.

There used to be some free icon software. I think I even have an old converter on my PC somewhere, but I don't know if there are any still available. You could search Cnet Downloads or Major Geeks for one.

To convert PNG to icons I found Aveicon easy - just drop the PNG in one side, and drag the icon out the other. Is this what is being asked for?

You can get AveIconifier here.

It's a simple drop and drag = drop an ico in, drag a png out OR drop a png in, drag an ico out

I got to check this out.

I have one called IconPro that I used before I got Icon Developer. It was so-so. Actually, I think it sucked. I'll have to mess with it again to see. I can't remember where I got it, but I haven't been able to find it since. The version I have, I believe, is pretty ancient.

I've had the software for a while - the icon on my desktop says Aveicon, but it too says AveIconifier2 once you open it up. I had the page bookmarked, but didn't check to see if the "download" there went anywhere.

Anycd came up with too many results in Google.

device manger is kinda vague. Which mp3 player?

avg you can find a few versions in the OD gallery.

Diary and Journal are do-able as are the first two. Gimme a day or so.

I am sorry this took so long. I had a bugger of a time making the fox. My first two tries were awful. I hope this works for you. It's in moderation, so it may take a day or two to show up in the OD gallery.

So, I discovered some of the Ashampoo products, which I think are pretty nifty (not to mention easy to use) and I would like a few of those I'm in no hurry, and you guys always have great results.

hey sctman, Welcome! I noticed you were looking for a paperport icon. I believe it was Bandit4edu that made one for me. It was a generic paperport one, with no version number or anything (i am using 11). you may want to check that out.
