Problem with Activesync

popup won't appear

What happen to my Microsoft ActiveSync popup when I connect to my pda. It just sits there in my bottom program bar and remains active. Why can't I get it to appear in whatever window I am in like it use to. Something is affecting it with this software. What is a poor soul to do after shelling out $50 for this software. I have to have activesync active or all this window dressing is for naught. Help

Have you excluded it via WB config?

Sounds like a firewall issue to me. Check out the troubleshooting guides at this site Link

Make sure you have the latest version of Activesync also. Try the fix Zubaz suggested and if your problem goes away then you probably won't need go any farther, however it works fine on my machine with WB5 installed.

Did anyone resolve this issue? I am using activesync 4.1 on Windows XP Pro SP2 with all updates and Window Blinds 5.0. I tried Zubaz's suggestion, I have searched through the troubleshooting guide that Lantec recommended and I have Googled for a solution but still no luck. My activesync window still will not display - only the taskbar icon shows up. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Works fine for me...hmmm...I just drop the Ipaq (4700) into the cradle, and it runs, taskbar icon shows, if I click on it, the window/form opens and says "synchronizing", takes about 15-20 seconds, and it's running... "v 3.8.0 (Build 5004)". Also using Win XP Pro, SP2/WB 5. Have had trouble now and then in the past, with no apparent solution at MSN.com, formed a "new partnership" or whatever MS calls it, with a new name, i.e. "My May 06", and this has fixed it at times. Then move all the files to new "connection" My Docs folder on desktop of PC or wherever. I never update ActiveSynch unless I have to and seem to have less problems.
Good luck, you'll probably get it resolved, but may be a pain while you do.

I had the same problem and finally seemed to have fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling WindowBlinds.
