This program lets you make a Windows XP cd that is already slipstreamed with Service Packs and updates.  You can also configure unattended installs and leave out any programs or settings that you want.

"nLite lets you choose which components to remove from your Windows 2000, XP or 2003 before installation. Removing unneeded components you gain on your system speed and security. It supports removal of almost any component and few services. You can make a bootable ISO with it and even easy slipstream Service pack with a click of a button.
Now added easy cd-key implementation so you don't need to enter it during setup."

thanks for the update...i recently used RC3 to re-install windows xp..what an amazing program..got my installation down to 200MB, included SP2 and all recent hotfixes, only installed the windows components i wanted (no IE, OE, internet games to name just some of the useless microsoft software/bloatware i didn't want) and all done on an un-attended installation...a really useful (and free) tool for customising windows xp

Here's a question. I usually reformat my C: drive yearly. But, since I got winxp, I can't go into DOS and format it that way. How can I un-install winxp and reinstall it? Would like a fresh clean install of it..

when you re-install XP, you are asked if you wish to do a quick re-format, or a full re-format of your hard drive before installation

nlite enables you to make a custom xp installation, with components you don't use taken out, and you can add SP2 and hotfixes, then save your custom installtion onto a CD...then, whenever you wish to re-install in the future, it's as simple as putting in your own XP CD...there's plenty of info on their website on how to do everything...it's a great prog
