Ethics and Government

Hi All,

I have a few questions in regards to the ethics and government choices in GalCiv2. More specifically, how do you actually pick a moral pathto follow or insitute a change of government. I have already researched "good & evil" along with the first government tech, it was "something republic" but I have not discovered a way to actually pick a moral path or change my government away from imperialism.

It's there a in game menu or something where I can change my government and ethics? Or is there supposed to be some window that pops up after I am done researching good and evil? I an beginning to think that maybe this feature has not been implemented yet.

There is an in game pop-up that allows you to choos a path to follow. Right fter good and evil. I know it works in the latest beta.

Interstellar Republic is the first opportunity to change government. You should get a pop-up that says you can change. Also you can see it on th edomestic policy screen. Look at the tabs on the bottom. First brings up a list of planets or ships. Second is reasearch. Third is domestic. Click that one. In that screen there are three tabs. Click the one that says govt.The one highleted is the form you currently have. If there are other available click one the click change.

interesting, because I didn't see any pop ups right after good and evil and I was expecting one to show up, hopefully it will work in my next game I guess. I will try to update to the latest version .80a.002 and see ifit works or not.

What happens to your alignment after you have chosen it? What if you chose good but consistently choose evil options?
