Need a refund

Need a refund

What do I need to do?

OK I purchased a renewal of my subscription for Object Desktop and Wincustomize on 11/27. Windows Blinds prevented AOEIII from running so I removed all of it. Cleaned up my registry and everything is OK. I decided to get a refund.

It took 2 emails to get a reply form you guys. You replied after 5 days or so after I sent that 2nd email. I was informed to talk to tech support so I can receive a 100% refund. I did that.

I did receive a reply from your tech support. Replied back that I want my refund. No one answered.

I made a first request on 11/27. So far I've sent 4 emails and received 2 replies.

I want my money back. I never received a working serial for Wincustomize (the one that was listed was a serial for ObjectDesktop). My computer has been Stardock software free since 11/27.

What do I need to do to get my money back?

Thanks.

Dumpa - many of us are running AOE 3 with WindowBlinds.  In fact, this week Stardock is hosting an AOE 3 lan party and we all have WindowBlinds installed.

Moreover, what exactly do you mean by "share some links"?

I'm thinking this is more about Dumpa thinking that there is a working warez and why should he pay when he can get it for free. Maybe Stardock should think about no downloads without registration, whether trial or paid for. Since there are some that think think they can get around the current restrictions and they probably can, something must be done to keep this site from being overrun by freeloaders. Some accomodation must be made for subscribers only, still galling to think that some of them are using warez. At least it's a way to get them to pay something.

Your opening statement makes me wonder........ You weren't "new" to Object Desktop, so you had access to WB5 before you renewed. But suddenly you have a conflict between WB5,and AOE, and decide to remove "everything" and seek a refund.

Windows Blinds prevented AOEIII from running so I removed all of it. Cleaned up my registry and everything is OK. I decided to get a refund.

......... just makes me wonder.......

If it was a renewal, what's the whining about?

From the RETURN POLICY: *We do not give full or partial refunds for any subscription renewals.

Should have just taken the 75% and been happy. (Me, having been brought up honest wouldn't even have asked).

hey dumpa you minda if iask how old you are?because my 6 year old niece wines less than this when she does not get her way and just a quik question you said you just renewed your subscrition to WC have you not been happy with any of your products for the last year you have been using them?

The fact that this thread still exists is proof enough that WC and SD are both fair companies. Furthermore, at this point, I really don't see the point of allowing this thread to continue, as 1) Dumpa is no longer looking for any constructive solution nor offering any possible logical end to this childish rant, 2) This forum is no place for temper tantrums of this sort, and 3) Forgive me for stepping over the body, but wasn't that horse I just tripped over already beat to death?

Koasati I purchased the game on the same evening (11/27). I was happy with Stardock software until that day. I used it off and on though, but overal I would say it was a pleasant experience.

Also I would appreciate if you guys would not post meaningless and unrelated posts because it's getting really hard to follow this thread.

Majic7 there is a lot of working warez out there. I would have never purchased Stardock software in the first place if I had intention of using it illegaly. I have been a legal customer for over a year now and all of my remarks to warez were related to anti piracy measures that make it more complicated (ie I have to log in everytime to use Wincustomize) for us, paying customers and will not stop pirates, maybe slow them down but that's it.

Frogboy I was planing to give out some links so they can leech downloads but noticed you stopped providing links to .exe files. So I'm sure you can track IPs with the links you do provide and don't want to have my account suspended.

I haven't received any additional replies from Stardock yet.

Until I get my money I will continue to use it heavily (1 GB of downloads last night).

Dumpa, I still don't see your point. You have been answered. The policy exists, and you were provided a more than generous offer which exceeded the standards set by the policy. You have further alienated yourself from the community here by choosing to initiate a flame fest instead of relying on proper channels, (which you were also advised to do). You are now consuming space on this thread and in this community. If you are offered the 75%, take it and polease end this juvenile foot-stamping. Seriously, if I were a moderator or admin, it would be my opinion that your threats, and whining had properly run it's course. With all due human courtesy, and for the sake of your own closure, accept what has been a more than generous offer and go on about your business.

This thread has stayed open only because Frogboy asked Dumpa a specific question here...so a response was anticipated.

Now it closes.

Dumpa .... I'm not impressed with your vaccuous leeching just for the sake of doing it.  It's about as childish as anyone can get.

Deal directly with Stardock Support via email, and not here.

Your free flame-fest has ended.
