Beta 5: unbalancing events

There just is nothing worst than a even such as:
"every planet within 2pc of star system X has it's PQ increased by 12".

This just means that something between 20 to 60 new high grade planets have just become available. If you're on the receiving end, you'll end up too powerful (if you manage things well) ; if you're on the other end of the galaxy, you'll almost sure to lose to a reasonably proficient AI: there just is no way to compete with a collection of PQ 12 to 25 planets packed together.

Ther may be other such events, but I think this one is really one of the worst. When I get it, I just have to reload the game.

True - This seems a bit excessive. It really seems to be a win-all/lose-all event.

Maybe if the even triggered one massive world, it'd be easier to live through if you didn't get it first.

Also, last time the even triggered, planets I had already discovered didn't update on the zoomed out map as being anything but dead husks, despite being very colonizable. New planets I discovered showed solid like they should, though. Not a major issue, just a quality of life thing.

12? I only got 4. Then again, while the claimed effect was two sectors, it spanned an area with a radius of at least 8 sectors (on a gigantic map, it seemed to cover about 2/3 of the map in one direction, and at least 3/4 of the map in the other direction), and I was still exploring and finding more stars with 4 or 5 PQ 4 planets around it when the game became unplayable, so it may have been larger.

Yes, this is one of those effects that might need to be balanced a bit better.

Now that I think about it, it might have bumped them all by 16 - but it really was just two sectors. As I exploded colony ships onto the map, I couldn't find anything outside the stated radius. I only managed to nab 1/3 of the planets before AI colony ships came in in force.

Thankfully, the only time I've seen this event, the AI triggered it 1 sector from my home world. I think it's a random chance from the wormhole anomalies.
