I got to hit apply skin then apply changes on the left side.
I dont know why but that is how it is. I might reinstall later to see if it fixes it though.

I just bought ODNT based on their good history and had the problem of getting the classic style as soon as I installed WB5. I've been reading thru the forums and while I found others with a similar problem, none had a fix. I finally fixed mine so maybe it will help others.
I had the latest ATI drivers loaded, 5.13, for the Radeon series. I decided to roll back to an earlier driver as I had had issues with the DotNetMessenger window error coming up on shutdown and it was related to the 5.13 drivers I found out. I decided to reinstalled the 5.11 drives to see if it fixed both problems and WB5 started working just fine. I am now able to apply skins and I no longer get lockups or just the classic theme. It appears to be a compatiblity issue between the 5.13 drivers from ATI & WB5.
FYI.

Your machine does not support per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.
This is because :
Your computer graphics hardware does not support acceleration of per pixel alpha. WindowBlinds requires this for per pixel alphablended borders as without it performance would be poor. Please see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware. Recent ATI & NVIDIA boards should support this feature. Onboard graphics tend not to.

It always used to work.
[Oh and I've ticked "Never use per-pixel borders on a skin" box, so that's not a problem.]

there's a couple of posts mentioning 'windows classic' (but the only search is at wincustomize - my employer firewalled me) - the main fix for most was to either update drivers or if you have the most current, rolling back on drivers. I don't recall seeing Radeon x600 (but my short term's not real strong) but that UniChrome IGP seems real familiar.
The search (browse site) at WC is on the left column down a ways. Limited to searching words or parts of in the title with a dropdown to pick the area to be searched (forums). Try searching 'classic'
