Favorites Issue

The Favorites Menu issue is still there in 006b.  It doesn't skin and it has submenu arrows on items that aren't folders or for that matter have subitems.  There was another post I made on here that had screen shots of this problem.

That looks like a firefox/skin color problem since it looks like it's doing it for every menu choice.  Gotta love this new version of WB.

The menus in firefox are NOT skinned by WindowBlinds.  If you have problems with those then it will be a skin colour scheme choice issue.  There is nothing WB can do about that and you would get the same result in Windows Classic if you set the colour scheme the same.

Regarding the favorites menu, I thought I had already explained that its not a menu (its a toolbar) and so it cannot support per pixel alpha like the normal menus can.  WB is skinning them without the alpha though and it has a special section just for those 'menus' so a skin can make them look better if they use alpha in the main menus.

Regarding the misplaced arrows, does this happen in both explorer & IE?  Finding out which item has arrows is complex, so its possible its picking the wrong item sometimes.  The code is identical to the WB4 code though.

No, the arrows only appear in IE.  And since when is Favorites a toolbar?  That's a new one on me.  What's even funnier is that even "non-pixel alpha whama zama whatever" skins don't skin it.  Even funnier is that WB4.6 skinned Favorites ALL DAY LONG!!!  So, as far as I'm concerned it's a WB5 problem.

That menu is not skinned.  If you look at the border of the menu it's stock WINXP.  The color has changed, just like mine does, but the actual layout of that menu doesn't skin.  Look carefully at another menu (at the edges) and you'll see what I mean.

OK, new 009 version fixes the skinning issues Neil, but the submenu/expansion arrows are still apperent on non-subitem containing links.  In other words, the arrows you have for folders in Favorites are also listed for individual links which obviously don't have any subitems in them.

OK Stardock guys! Let's get this problem fixed! It has been around WAY to long. Just fix it!

And since when is Favorites a toolbar?

Since Microsoft designed it that way - a toolbar tricked out to look like a menu.

I'm having the same problem... what is interesting is that it began to happen after I have done a fresh install of XP. The arrows, instead of being linked to the folders, are near link which don't really take to any submenu.

I wonder if someone has alrealdy a solution for it?

Thx.
