WB4.6 can't skin my Windows Start Menu, Windows Explorer, Logout Window - help please

Hello,

I just bought a new Sony Vaio TX laptop (pre-installed with Windows XP Pro) and when I tried to install/use my existing version of WB4.2 it won't skin the Start Menu, Windows Explorer and Log off screen. The rest of the programs like Internet Explorer, MS Office are ok.

It seems when I try to apply a skin, it just tries to change the color of the Start Menu, but not totally skinning it.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!

Mark

I'm assuming that you're installing the program fresh (not just copying the files from one machine to another) and that you're only installing WindowBlinds, not the entire Object Desktop suite of programs.

If you're a registered user, you might want to check to see if your copy of the program is current and reinstall it from the backup copy of the installation files that you got from Stardock. (you did back up your install program didn't you )

I don't know any reason that you wouldn't be able to run it on your Sony laptop - I've tried WindowBlinds on several different machines over the years including a Dell laptop running Windows 98SE as well as Windows XP and didn't have any issues (except for older skins that were not modified to handle the newer versions of WindowBlinds or Windows XP...)

Please install WB 4.6.

WB 4.2 with Service Pack 2 on recent AMD (and now some Intel) chips will not skin explorer correctly.

Yes, I installed WindowBlinds from scratch. I don't have the entire Object Desktop suite.

Thanks for replying anyways!
