Object Dock Plus icon fonts unreadable (OD+ Icon Fonts)

http://portvista.com/dock.jpg
How do I change the fonts under each icon to be readable? I can only see the first 6 letters, and there is a big drop shadow. I just want them to show up like they do on my desktop.

It also would be nice if the icons were sized normally. This program resizes them ugly.

ObjectDock

Screenshot -- see how the text is? It's not very useful this way.

I have no idea where to edit font text on OD+. I use the free and I can make them any size I want. Can't help, sorry.

Keep watch, somebody using plus will eventually stop by.

May help to edit your title to something along: "OD+ Icon Fonts Unreadable - Help" = kinda help draw their attention

Thanks I updated the post.

Maybe I need to try the free version... I don't use any of the fancy features anyway. I just need a program launcher -- this seems to be better than putting a bunch of folders on my desktop.

I use the free - I hide my desktop icons and use a shortcut to open the desktop folder.

Right click on tabbed dock, Tab Settings, select General in left menu, click Advanced settings button. Font type and size can be set there. Icons size also determines who much text will be displayed under icon.

knew somebody would show up with info eventually

Cavan1, that does not change the fonts I'm talking about. I'm using the docked tabs (as folders). The tabs are not in the free version apparently. The screenshot tells it all. Grrrr!

I did not select to have labels under icons, this setting changed texted when mouse over icon. I incorrectly assumed it would change the label text aswell but as you say it does not. There are no other text settings so I must assume this cannot be changed.

I can confirm your observations. There have been many requests to be able to alter the actual tab fonts (since they are also fixed) so this may be related.

Perhaps a later update will provide the feature - if we all ask nicely

I don't think that the font itself can be changed. I also use the mouse-over taxt setting.

Out of curiousity, what happens when you drag the width of the dock to a larger width? I beieve that may at least separate the icons enough to allow more of the text label to be seen.

Well that's a nice tip -- turning labels off enables roll-over text that CAN be changed. Maybe I can train myself to recognize the icons once they are all in place. A lot of icons are exactly the same though, and it will take some time to find some decent ones.

I believe ObjectDock Plus, which is what I assume you are using, has options to change the icons to whatever you want along with changing the size. There's tons of icons on here for ObjectDock and I have found all of them to be nicely developed and very artistic. I may not be understanding your problem but this was my thought about the icon issue. Part of the fun of Object Dock is using all the great icons people have uploaded under the ObjectDock section...
