Suggestins For streamlining gameplay as well as others

hi, i'm not sure i'm posting this in the right area but whatever. while playing the demo, i noticed a few things that were not really bugs, just annoying things that slowed down gameplay.

1) A "next" button when cruising through planets that have finished projects like in gc1, maybe make it a toggle - able feature for those who like the little pop ups on the right side (nice idea btw) which leads me into the next topic.................

2) completed projects popups, they don't go away unless u click them and go to that planet, very annoying.

3) stacked ships
- constructors - i have to move them to separate sectors because i can't get tot the construct button.
- individual ships stats in a fleet - can't see them, only the fleets overall weapon and defense points.

4) loading and saving - can we get a double click feature for this rather than having to hit the button?

5) imps organizer - on the planet level, organize imps by type, eg

Economic
banking center
stock market
adv market

industry
basic factory
Manufacturing capital

etc, or have tabs that only display various types of imps like those in the shipyard that only display beam wepons, or missiles, etc

5) organize ships - first, at least organize ships alphabetically in the governor screen and elsewhere rather than having all the user made ships at the bottom, a step above that, organize them (with tabs again perhaps?) by hull size, or even more savvy, by weapon and/or defense type for those woh need to see if they have enough good ships with missile defense or if they need to build a new one from scratch.

Also, make sure that ships designed for the thalans don't show up in the game when i'm playing the altarians and vice versus. make it optional to make some designs standard ships that can be included automatically and simply have their weapons package changed depending on who they're fighting, upgrading............that leads to

6) i've said this b4 but it is VERY important, being able to upgrade ships w/out the game being snotty eg, when i want to upgrade a ship, the 3d model disappears, all the parts are selected and none can be deleted and nothing ca be added, so essentially, i have to design a ship from scratch every time new tech comes along. this everely retards gameplay as it makes me feel like i should wait until i research plama III in 20 turns instead of simply upgrading an existing ship with plasma I.

7) maybe i just haven't found it yet, but is ther a social governor? there should be one because, granted this isn't going to gc1 where u can build unlimited structures, but still, on evey planet im going to want a starport, a banking center/stock market/trade center, and research building

8) saving map settings - its just annoying to have to turn on ship paths, population, etc every time i load

General suggestions

1) i think miniturization should become a selectable bonus

2) weapon sprites should reflect the weapons right? if i have two singularity drivers on each wing, i don't want two balls flying arcing paths ( bullets go in straight lines rite?) from one wing. basically, if i have 6 drivers, i want to see six balls hurtling towards my target

3) i tihnk planets should better reflect their class, i see planets that look lush and green but are class 5 =/

4) i liked the governemental and diplomacy screens covering the whole screen as in gc1, thats all i need to worry about right then and i don't want no wimpy screen!

Minor Bugs

1) in diplomacy, when asked for a trade, they say, i ll trade u x for y, but the respective items don't show up in the boxes on the bottom right and left of the screen

On point 2) If you are talking about the little icons that fall down the right side of the screen, you can get rid of those by right clicking.

Thanks for the feedback, pmuscles! It's always nice to see GalCiv1 players chiming in on how the sequel is coming.

Oh, and be sure to update to 4d...I beleive it resolves some of these issues - and most likely introduces some new ones

** Major Bugs **
1.) Noted.

2.) Yeah, right clicking will work, though if we have time we'll work up a system that auto-deletes them as necessary.

3.) constructors: You shouldnt be able to construct a starbase in a tile with other ships on it.  This is by design.
Individual Ship Stats: We ccan make this info more accessable.

4.) YES! I want this too...but have been swamped with major features to get in. We should have it working soon (Though it won't work when a game is in progress, since at that point it's functioning as a save/load screen.)

5.) Alphabetically should be easy, but getting in tabs will be more work.
As for alien ships showing up in your list, this will get fixed ASAP (and may already be fixed in 4d).

6.) The entire upgrade system is in for 4d...and please be brutal on it.  We need to weed out as much cheese as possible before gold.

7.) We're still batting social governors around. We'll see what makes it into the game

8.) Interesting...this one slipped under my radar.  We'll get these saving.
