Making Tabbed Docks Reappear on Left Side

What I want to do is, using OD Plus 1.2, set 5 tabbed docks each having a single tab in them to the left edge of the screen. I want the tabs to be visible on my desktop but when I am in Word or some other app, I want the tabs hiden. Then, when I move my mouse, I want the tab I am looking for to appear without any other dock appearing. Is this possible? I tried fooling with hot spots but could only get them to work with one of the tabbed docks and they would not work with any others on the left side. Hope I am clear and hope this is possible and thank you.

Gary,

You should be able to assign each dock the following in the relevant "Dock Settings > Positioning"

- Mouse activation selected

- Always on top deselected

- Tabs always on top when docked to edge

The only trick will be knowing where the tab is located when covered with a window.

Tabs always on top when docked to edge

Sorry, this should say 'deselected' also.

Thanks and I will give that a try.

Trying your tips but the tabs are behind the app when maximized. I don't see any way of making them reappear, that is the one I want, without having tabs show on top. The hotspot is no use because only one tabbed dock on each side seems to be able to respond to it. Hope I am clear and thanks.

Sorry, I mis-understood what you wanted.

The hotspots feature is the correct function, which unfortunately is very limited at this point.

You might contact Stardock and leave a suggestion for them to look into adding to future builds:

1 - Add functionality to the hotspot feature

2 - Add the ability to pull a tabbed dock on the edge to the top Z-order when moused over

I agree this would be a good feature to have.
