Umm...I'm not sure what you mean...you won a game and it didn't ask you to submit?

I've won a few games and it didn't ask me to submit!

I would have to verify with Scott, but I believe that in order to get the submit option you have to be connected to the Internet when GalCiv is loaded. It sets a flag at that time indicating you are connected.

Really? Why doesn't it just check to see if you are connected when you finish the game? Then you could switch to the desktop, start up your web connection, and switch back to the game. If the check was made after the game summary was displayed this would be very easy for gamers to do. BTW, it may already be doing this, as, I THINK I have taken advantage of it several times already. I will check it out when I finish my current game.

you don't have to be connected at the start. I usually only connect tothe internet when the victory screen appears, BEFORE I click for the submission screen. Just ALT-TAB, connect, ALT-TAB back and then submit. Works fine.

Since the newest update as of 2 days ago I am now asked to submit even when I lose. BTW - Iam on DSl - always connected so that was NOT the problem.

That is working as designed.
