Configure virtual desktop

Good Morning

Could someone help please with regard to the virtual desktop.  I am new and have just purchased Object Desktop and am ok with various aspects of it but I cannot understand how to get Virtual desktops started because on my task bar the words are greyed out.

Do I have to add some item to start them off? I have rebooted and all components are inatalle dok in Stardock Central.
