Weird Behaviour

I just did a hard drive wipe and reinstall of Windows and all my apps. I installed Objectdock 1.2 and it was working fine. Then I started getting the following error on start up:

Objectdock has recovered settings from previous to a recent crash while saving etc etc

I'm assuming I installed an application which it didn't like. I tried saving the theme but still the start up error message.

I removed it and installed verion 1.11. That doesn't have the problem when starting, but it wouldn't update or display the weather information correctly. Also I can't remove any of the docks. I want to drag and drop the weather icon to the desktop to remove it (I installed the weather.com toolbar item and it works fine) . But all icons seem locked. I guess I'm doing something wrong. Is there a setting I can't find which locks the icons so they cant be deleted.

Thanks

Pete

I don't know how to access it, if it's the plus version - but on the free version, right click on the dock andmake sure 'lock dragging' is unchecked.

Thanks,

but on my version 1.11 free there is no lock dragging item that I can see. There was one the 1.2 if I remember right.

1.11 build 517

got it.

There is no lock the dock option...should be able to drag off. You may have a buggy docklet, but there is also no option to temporarily turn them off the check them.
Have you tried clearing the cache?
Here's Corky O's tutorial on the subject: Link. You'll notice ObjectDock in step 3.

Thanks. I did that and the default options came up but stuill locked. So I installed 1.2 over the top. Unchecked the lock docklets option and restarted the computer. Same old loading error so I uninstalled 1.2. Then I reinstalled 1.11 and bingo I have no start up error and the docklets are movable.

Weird but happy now.

Thanks for the help and advice.
