"Apply..." buttons do not work

"Apply changes" and "Apply this skin now"; two buttons that do not work in Windowblinds.

Occasionally, after navigating a few option menus within the Windowblinds config, "Apply this skin now" does work, but it will only apply a Windows Classic style skin with the basic colours of the applied skin. When applying the Windows XP style skin from the Windowblinds config, this button works perfectly, however. "Apply changes" never works, meaning it never does a thing when clicked.

I contacted tech support and was told "It sounds like you're using the shareware version of the shareware version." and to restart my computer several times. Umm... ok, I thought.

I uninstalled 4.6 before installing, restarted before and after installing, twice, and reinstalled once, again with restarts before and after. I'm absolutely sure restarting will have no further affect.

Anyway, here's the details:
-Windowblinds 5 (Shareware)
-Windows XP SP2, Updated
-1.5GHz CPU/256MB RAM
-Internal Graphics: Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller, up to date
