WB5 Public - Installation Error

WB5 Error

I am trying to install the free public version of Windowblinds 5, to give a try to decide if I would like to buy it or not. I can't even get it to run!

After installation, at the same time as the reboot computer dialog box appears, I see this:


wbconfig.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The instruction at "0x00" referenced memory at "0x00". The memory could not be "read".


I rebooted, and tried to bring up the configuration window for Windowblinds, again, I get the SAME error while the skins are loading.

I'm dissapointed because I cannot get this to install. Any help on this would be appreciated! Here are my computer specs:

Windows XP Home (SP2)
64mb Nvidia GeForce MX
760mb RAM

Again, this is the public version of WB5

Sounds like a bad install.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet?

Tried that numerous times, I can't think of anything that could be causing it.

Just a thought, but are you installing it with administrative privileges? Or with a Limited user account?

Administrative. There is no reason why it shouldn't be installing.
