Need Help -- WB5, maximize, and dual monitors

I am using WB5 and have a dual monitor setup. My primary monitor (laptop display) is set for 1024x768 resolution. My second monitor is set to 1280x1024 resolution. Whenever I maximize a window on my seconday (lareger) display, it will only size to the resolution of my primary (smaller) display.

Thanks

This is normally a property of your video card & I don't believe WB5 is the problem. I ran into the same problem when I had a bad video card & didn't even have WB.

You need to check your settings & possibly update your drivers. If you have an NVidia card make sure you have dualview (not span) set & check 'enable multiple desktops' then 'allow desktops to use different resolutions'. Also make sure 'maximize desktop switching speed' is unchecked (it diables the different resolutions setting). I don't know how other cards are set up, but they should have those features (in some form) if they support multiple monitors.

It is possible that your laptop's video card doesn't support a true dualview (only a span view). In that case it may not allow a different resolution. Or it's a bad card, my last one was, straight out of the box. What happens when you switch your primary monitor to the one with the largest resolution & maximize a window?

If this doesn't help hopefully someone else might know what's what.
