It's a 'virtual' desktop from Firefox that has it's own widgets to download. There don't seem to be too many yet, as it's still in it's beta. There is instructions on how to make them, and a lot of other info.

This is on par with what MS wants to do in the future as well. Your software comes from the net and isn't actually on your computer. It's not something I look forward to.
