Glass Letters

Hi
I've been useing WindowBlinds for awhile and am interested in how some of this stuff works. How do you make those glass looking letters? Is there any trial software that I can try this with?
I would like to update our company logo with this look.
Thanks in advance for your help

Don't know what that has to do with WindowBlinds , but you can accomplish that effect in any decent graphics editor.

Thanks, your right, it's just that I see the best graphics coming from windowblind users and programmers. What is a good graphics editor that could produce that kind of quality work?

I believe that logo was created my mormegil. And I believe he uses CorelDRAW most of the time. You can download a 30 day free trial at Corel.com. It has a training cd plus online tutorials. Plus there are a number of 3rd party sites that offer tutorials as well.Link

And then of course you can follow mormegils tutorials and videos on how to make those icons:Link

CorelDraw is an excellant program, but rather expensive. You may want to try Paint Shop Pro (my personal fav) also. It has some great vector tools .... You can find it at the Corel site also.

if you use photoshop, you can go to sites that give away "Photoshop Actions". these are for reproducing something time after time. People make different text effects, then record it as an action, so when you load that action into photoshop, you just type in the text and watch it create text that is a replica of the sample you saw on the site where you downloaded the action.
All this sounds very complicared, but if you go here: http://www.actionaddiction.com/ you will see what you can easily achieve using actions. And, there are hundreds of sites like this one.
I hope this helps.
If you want a custom logo, and don't mind paying, I would be happy to make you one. my e-mail.... boxxi@ntlworld.com
