WindowBlinds has the ability to make the windows transparent and many skins use this feautre ... check out the WB Library and you will find many skins.

If you are talking about wallpaper you don't need a program. Just go to the wallpaper section here or anywhere, pick out the ones you like. Download them to the file of your choice. Then go to the folder, open the zip file if there is one for the paticular wall and right click the one you want and choose set as desktop background. The size of the wallpaper should match with the resolution of your monitor. Example: A 17inch monitor usually uses 1024x768 wallpaper. 15inch 800x600, and so on. There are no transparent wallpapers that I know of.

I think he means the background within explorer windows. There's no way to make these backgrounds translucent, but there's an old app that makes it easy to set images as the folder background.

Go here http://www.geocities.com/phtm77/
Click the Downloads link, and look for Background Wizard.

)...just curious...if I were to use that program and set a magic pink background, would it go 'transparent' while using WB?

Don't think so Bichur, since WB wouldn't be doing the background..... you'd just get a nifty pink BG.

If it did go 'transparent', I doubt you'd be able to see any icons. Transparent = invisible. Translucent = see-thru.

There were several threads on this item back in September. I believe it was Spinal that was posting the questions. You might want to do a Forum search in OS Customization and see what he found out also.
