Are running indicators obsolete in tabbed docks

I recently got OD+, and noticed there are no running indicators for the programs I have running. I looked everywhere, but there is no option to activate them. So are they not applicable for tabbed docks or what?

By "running indicators" do you mean the taskbar or system tray? There is unfortunately not a gui setting for this option, but you may add this functionality by doing the following:

  • Hold the Windows key and press "R"
  • Copy/Paste "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus" and press enter
  • Open CurrentTheme.ini with notepad or your favorite raw text editor (ie NOT Word)
  • Scroll down until you find the tab you want to give this functionality:
    • Key for [SettingsX-TabY]
      • X - Dock Number
      • Y - Tab Number
  • Add the line: "Type=SystemTray" or "Type=Taskbar" depending on your preference

For example, in the default tabbed dock, the "Tray" tab has the following lines in CurrentTheme.ini:

[Settings2-Tab7]
Group7EntryCount=0
cref=-8388353
Name=Tray
Style=backgrounds\standard\background.ini
dontColor=0
Type=SystemTray

There is a Taskbar tab and a Systray tab available. Just right click an empty space on a tabbed dock and select Tabs and Add new tab. The Taskbar tab will show what programs you have running. Hope this helps.

I hadn't seen that So the official word is, "You can add taskbar/systray tabs, but just can't modify existing tabs to include this functionality through the gui." Thanks Hankers.
